Abstract: An expandable orthopedic implant includes a casing pipe, a shaft, a first expandable element and a first link lever. The casing pipe has a first opening, a second opening and an axis passing through the first and second opening. The casing pipe sheathes one end of the shaft, and the other end of the shaft has a top portion disposed out of the first opening. The first expandable element has a first terminal pivoted on the casing pipe and a second terminal. The first link lever has a proximal end pivoted to the top portion and a distal end pivoted to the second terminal. When the top portion is driven moving away from the first opening along an extending direction of the axis, the first link-lever can be pushed by the shaft to enact the second terminal moving away from the axis along a direction perpendicular to the axis.

Abstract: A protective structure is provided, which includes a porous layer and a surface layer disposed on the porous layer. The porous layer includes a first copolymer, a plurality of pores, and a plurality of first silica particles, wherein the first copolymer is polymerized from a first monomer composition. The first monomer composition includes N,N-dimethylacrylamide and N-vinylpyrrolidone. The surface layer includes a second copolymer, a plurality of fibers, and a plurality of second silica particles, wherein the second copolymer is polymerized from a second monomer composition. The second monomer composition includes N,N-dimethylacrylamide and N-vinylpyrrolidone.

Abstract: A piezoelectric electroacoustic transducer is disclosed. The piezoelectric electroacoustic transducer includes a diaphragm, a piezoelectric element disposed on the diaphragm, an elastic element connected with and around the diaphragm, a frame around the elastic element and being disassembled so as to adjust an inner-frame projected area of the frame, and a buffer interposed between the elastic element and the frame, wherein the frame has an inner-frame projected area less than a planar projected area of the diaphragm, the elastic element, and the buffer, such that the frame always provides a compressive stress to the diaphragm, the piezoelectric element, the elastic element, and the buffer. The piezoelectric electroacoustic transducer may be implemented as a loudspeaker or a microphone.
