    Abstract: This invention relates to a flexible foil having a nonconducting selenium layer and an intermediate layer between the foil and the selenium. The intermediate layer consists of polyvinyl acetal with an addition of carbon black. Before depositing the selenium layer, the intermediate layer is polished. This intermediate layer results in excellent adherence of the selenium onto the flexible foil which can be used in copying machines.
