    摘要: A wireless communication system includes an infrastructure device for transmitting and receiving communications to and from a plurality of wireless user terminals. Each wireless user terminal includes a receiver and a controller that receives a plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals on a first carrier frequency of a downlink. Each of the plurality of OFDM signals includes carrier frequency assignment information indicating a carrier frequency to transmit uplink data and spatial pattern information indicating a spatial pattern. In response to the carrier frequency assignment information of each of the plurality of OFDM signals, a transmitter and the controller of the wireless user terminal transmit a plurality of uplink signals. Each of the plurality of uplink signals are transmitted on the indicated carrier frequency and using the indicated spatial pattern.

    摘要: A method and apparatus may be used for network management via MAC measurements. The measurements may include WTRU uplink traffic loading measurement, and an AP service loading measurement. The measurements may be applicable to at least to layers 1 and 2 as applied to, for example, 802.11k in the context of OFDM and CDMA 2000 systems, but may be applicable to other scenarios as well. A method for determining and transmitting congestion information may be provided for a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system. The method and apparatus may be used for managing congestion when congestion is detected. The method and apparatus may be used in wireless systems that use a Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) mechanism. The methods may be implemented in wireless transmit/receive units (WTRU)s and access points (AP)s of various forms.

    摘要: A radio resource control unit configured to determine values for use by radio resource management functions includes a measurement reception and storing unit and a measurement processing unit. The measurement reception and storing unit is configured to obtain and store air interface actual values and predictive values; and generate and store a timestamp indicating a time when each actual or predictive value is obtained. The measurement processing unit is configured to process the actual and predictive values to provide an output value; determine an occurrence of a transient period, which is a period of time when a radio link is unstable; and determine whether the actual value is valid by comparing the timestamp of the actual value to the occurrence of the transient period, and on a condition that the timestamp is within the transient period, then the actual value is determined to be not valid.
