Abstract: Execution of one or more actions executing on at least one device is monitored to protect access to a selected digital asset. The monitoring includes determining whether a chosen action to be initiated by one entity to claim a chosen digital asset of another entity has completed. Based on determining that the chosen action has not completed, execution of a selected action, initiated by the other entity, to claim a selected digital asset of the one entity is prevented. Based on preventing execution of the selected action, a determination is made as to whether the chosen action has completed the claim of the chosen digital asset of the other entity. Based on determining that the chosen action has completed, completion of execution of the selected action to claim the selected digital asset of the one entity is facilitated.

Abstract: Embodiments for optimizing sequential write operations in a data deduplication environment by one or more processors. Similar data deduplication signatures for stored data at all storage devices in one or more storage systems may be maintained. A deduplication signature associated with a write operation at a storage device may be compared to the similar data deduplication signatures. Results of the comparison with each of the other storage devices may be shared prior to performing the write operation.

Abstract: Centrality measure ranking for a multiple network is provided by a method that includes obtaining a representation of a multiplex network having layers and nodes representing communicating entities, where at least two nodes, each being in a different layer of at least two layers of the layers, represent a communicating entity, determining, for each node of the at least two nodes, a node centrality measure, determining, for the communicating entity, an entity centrality measure as a function of the node centrality measures for the at least two nodes representing that communicating entity, and ranking the communicating entity relative to at least one other communicating entity of the plurality of communicating entities.

Abstract: Centrality measure ranking for a multiple network is provided by a method that includes obtaining a representation of a multiplex network including layers and nodes representing communicating entities. The method determines a node centrality measure for each node of the nodes. This includes determining intra-layer and inter-layer centrality measures. The method determines a respective centrality measure for each communicating entity as a function of node centrality measures for nodes representing the communicating entity across the layers of the multiplex network. The method also ranks the communicating entities by their centrality measures.
