An object positioning/fixing device is capable of generating a clamping force by clamp bolts capable of being fastened manually and realizes high operability of the clamp bolts. A simple clamp mechanism comprises the clamp bolts as major components. The object positioning/fixing device has a cooperative assembly of the positioning mechanism and the clamp bolts.

A tool unclamping device according to the present invention comprises a motor, a rotary shaft connected to the motor, a cam provided on the rotary shaft, a power transmission member, pressed by the cam to be axially movable, having a recess at the center in the radial direction thereof, a frame so provided as to enclose the power transmission mechanism, a support member inserted into the power transmission mechanism in the radial direction thereof and fixed to the frame, an elastic member set in the recess located between the power transmission member and the support member for urging the power transmission member toward the motor and an output shaft driven by power from the power transmission mechanism for unclamping a tool.

A fixing structure of a spindle balancer for a machine tool in which a spindle balancer can be attached easily to a machine tool at an appropriate position in an appropriate posture while being supported stably and surely by the machine tool, safety is enhanced when the spindle balancer is attached to the machine tool by lessening the attaching load, set-up including replenishment of the cylinder body with compression gas and regulation of gas pressure is facilitated, and the attachment time and set-up time of the spindle balancer can be shortened. The fixing structure 1 of a spindle balancer for a machine tool comprises a flange member 30 having a supported surface 30a and provided fixedly to the cylinder body 10 of a gas spring 2, a supporting member 40 having a flange receiving surface 40b and a fixing hole 40c and secured to the spindle head Ma of a machine tool M, and a plurality of fastening members 45 for fastening the flange member 30 to the supporting member 40 so as to allow the supported surface 30a of the flange member 30 to abut against the flange receiving surface 40b of the support member 40.

A gas-filled gas spring is charged with gas and tightly sealed. By means of gas spring, oil in oil chamber of hydraulic pressure cylinder is pressurized to a pressure level higher than the gas pressure in gas actuating chamber of gas spring. This results in a strong pushing force being generated via output piston of hydraulic pressure cylinder.

A clamping device for clamping a work piece to be machined by a machine tool on a base surface of a table of the machine tool or a work pallet for fixing a work piece, comprises at least a clamp main body, a reaction support provided at the rear portion of the clamp main body, an input member disposed in front of the reaction support on the clamp main body with a gap therebetween, an output member arranged in front of the input member and having an output portion for clamping the work piece at the front end, a guide mechanism for slidably guiding the output member in a longitudinal direction directed back and forth, a driving mechanism for driving the input member toward the clamp main body, and a wedge type converting mechanism for converting a driving force supplied to the input member from the driving mechanism into a clamping force for driving the output member. During clamping drive or operation, the output member does not move vertically, thereby the work piece is free from damage and the machining accuracy is improved.
