Abstract: A two-ply liner-label and liner-label-roll are provided. A front side of a liner is coated with a release coating. The liner also includes a plurality of die cut tabs that at least partially align with a second die cut label in the label. The backside of the label is coated with an adhesive material and applied to the front side of the liner to form a liner-label roll. The tabs remain affixed to their corresponding individual labels when the labels are removed for placement on packaging; thereby, leaving holes in the liner as the liner is wound into a waste-liner roll within an auto applicator machine.

Abstract: A direct thermal and thermal transfer label combination is provided. The label includes a substrate, and the substrate includes a thermal print coating applied to a front side of the substrate. The label also includes a liner attached to a backside of the substrate along a first side of the liner. Further, an aqueous resin-based thermal transfer coating is applied to a second side of the liner. The front side of the label is capable of being imaged through direct thermal printing while the second side of the liner represents an opposite side of the label that is capable of being imaged through thermal transfer printing.

Abstract: A single-ply liner label combination and liner-label combination roll are provided. Each liner label combination including a liner substrate and a label substrate. The label substrate including at least one inner and partially perforated second label. The backside of the label substrate including adhesive but a first portion of an area of the backside that corresponds to the inner and partially perforated second label including an adhesive deadener applied over the adhesive within the first portion. A second portion of the area retains the adhesive in a pattern along a periphery of the backside that corresponds to the inner and partially perforated second label.
