摘要： Disclosed is a simple and safe method for producing hollow rayon fibers, which are light and heat-insulating. The fibers, having a cross section of FIG. 1, are produced by forming a cellulose layer with a mixed crystalline structure of cellulose II and IV through selective saponification of a portion of cellulose acetate fibers with the use of alkali, followed by dissolving a portion which remains unsaponified, with the use of an organic solvent.
