Abstract: A method for controlling a bandwidth used for processing a baseband transmit signal by a transmit path of a transmitter is provided. The method includes generating a first comparison result by comparing, to a threshold value, a first number of physical resource blocks allocated to the transmitter for a first transmission time interval. Further, the method includes generating a second comparison result by comparing, to the threshold value, a second number of physical resource blocks allocated to the transmitter for a subsequent second transmission time interval. The method additionally includes adjusting the bandwidth based on the first and the second comparison results.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, user equipment (UE), evolved node B (eNB), and methods are described for generating an extended power headroom report (ePHR) based on an uncertainty associated with a physical downlink control channel communication granting an uplink grant for a physical uplink shared channel communication when the system is configured for simultaneous physical uplink shared channel and physical uplink control channel communications. Some embodiments are structured to generate the ePHR using a type 2 report regardless of the uncertainty associated with the ePHR, while other embodiments generate the ePHR using a reference format. In some embodiments, a UE communicates a timing field with a UE capability communication indicating whether the UE meets timing requirements to avoid uncertainty in ePHR communications.

Abstract: An interference estimation method and a communication device configured to estimate interference. The interference estimation method can include determining a first communication channel of a first uplink communication signal of a first communication protocol and determining a second communication channel of a second downlink communication signal of a second communication protocol. The method can further include: determining frequency spacing between the first uplink communication signal and the second downlink communication signal; determining the PSD of the transmit signal within the receiver bandwidth of the second downlink communication signal; and determining the transmit noise floor from the first uplink communication signal in the receiver bandwidth. Power integration terms can be determined based on the overall PSD of the transmit signal from first uplink communication signal within the second downlink communication channel. An interference estimation can be calculated using the interference power integration term(s).
