摘要： An electrical device (100) for interconnecting two parallel printed circuit boards at a large distance includes a plug connector (1), a receptacle connector (1′), and a mating extender (2) disposed between the plug connector and the receptacle connector. The mating extender includes a subassembly of wafer (21), a pair of identical caps (20) disposed on the top and bottom portions of the subassembly of wafer, and a pair of shroud-halves (22) sliding on the subassembly of the wafer. The subassembly of wafer is made up of a number of wafer modules (24) parallel with each other. Each wafer module has a wafer support (26) and a number of contacts (28) embedded in the wafer support.

摘要： An electrical connector (1) straddle-mounted on an edge (20) of a printed circuit board (2) includes an insulative housing (10) having an elongated groove (11) for mating. A support subassembly (3) is inserted from the opposing side of the housing (10) to expose its portions in the groove (11). The support subassembly (3) includes two bases (30) with attached signal conductors (5) and a U-shaped ground member (4). Two parallel-arranged side portions (40) of the U-shaped ground member (4) are integrally connected via its central portion and each of them is located parallel to a row of signal conductors (5) as their ground reference. The united ground member (4) can be used to establish ground path to the printed circuit board (2) by fewer contacting legs (42) sheared therefrom and help all parts of the support subassembly (3) to be installed in the connector housing (10) at one time.

摘要： A connector module for receiving a signal converter and electrically connecting the signal converter to a printed circuit board mounted within an electronic system. The connector module includes a conductive cage having a plurality of press-fit type pins and a shielding lid. The connector module further defines a top opening and a cavity with an opening on a bottom portion of the conductive cage for receiving the connector which electrically connecting with the signal converter. The shielding lid covers on the top opening. The connector comprises a plurality of contacts each having a press-fit end, said press-fit ends extending toward the printed circuit board and mounting therein.

摘要： An electrical connector (1) straddle-mounted on an edge (20) of a printed circuit board (2) includes an insulative housing (10) having an elongated groove (11) for mating. A plurality of receiving channels (13) each used to receive a support subassembly (3) is formed adjacently to and communicated with the mating groove (11). The support subassembly (3) includes a base (30) with signal contacts (5) and a ground member (4) attached thereon. Every contact (5) includes an engaging end (51) exposed to the mating groove (11) and a tail end (52) extending out of the receiving channel (13) in a suspended status. And the ground member (4) includes a plurality of contacting legs (42) extending from the ground member (4) and being arranged to stagger with the tail end (52) of every contact (5) along the lengthwise of the connector (1). Several holding elements (43) are formed in a hook shape on one edge side of the ground member (4) to hook and be partially inserted into the apertures (22) formed on the housing (10) to stop further insertion of the support subassembly (3), and the holding elements (43) of the neighboring ground member (4) are inserted in the same apertures (22) so that they can establish a common ground path to reduce their needed contacting legs (42) to the printed circuit board (2).

摘要： A high density, high speed, low profile, electrical connector (100) includes a housing (10) and conductive contacts (20) partially positioned in the housing. The housing has a base (11) defining therethrough a number of passageways (114). Each contact has a body portion (21) and a pair of cantilevered beams (22) extending from the body portion. A retaining tab (212) is stamped from the body portion and abuts against a projection (116) formed in the passageway for protect the housing from possible movement with respect to a board on which the connector is mounted. The connector also has a stabilizer (30) assembled to the housing.

Each channel has an inner face (106) and a pair of step portions (107) oppositely protruding from the inner face. Each terminal includes a body portion (21) having two opposed side edges (213), a pair of spaced-apart legs (22) extending from an end of the body portion, and a tail portion (23) extending from an opposite end of the body portion. Each side edge has a shoulder (212) and a recessed portion (214) under the shoulder. The step portion is depressed and collapsed by the shoulder when the terminal is inserted into the terminal receiving channel and part of the step portion is pressed into the recessed portions of the terminal, thereby securing the terminal in the housing.
