Abstract: A packaging system according to an aspect is a packaging system formed by connecting an external server to a plurality of packaging apparatuses via a network. The external server stores control parameters for the packaging apparatuses to package an article to be packaged in an optimal state. The packaging apparatus communicates with the external server, downloads necessary control parameters, and controls a packaging operation by using the downloaded control parameters. Accordingly, a setting operation performed in each of the packaging apparatuses can be significantly reduced.

Abstract: A label issuing apparatus includes: a storage unit that stores a plurality of pieces of product information regarding a product; a print control unit that generates print data defining that a barcode, in which at least one piece of the product information stored in the storage unit is encoded, and a digital watermark, in which at least one piece of the product information encoded as the barcode is embedded, are arranged on one product label and the barcode and the digital watermark are arranged at different positions on the one product label; and a label issuing unit that issues the product label on which the barcode and the digital watermark are displayed at different positions by printing information based on the print data on a label.

Abstract: A label printing device includes: a conveying unit configured to convey a mountless label; a shaft portion configured to change a conveying direction of the mountless label; a cutting unit configured to cut the mountless label of which the conveying direction is changed by the shaft portion and issue a label; and a controller configured to control the conveying unit and the cutting unit. The controller executes a preparatory operation mode in which the mountless label is conveyed a predetermined distance longer than a length of a portion extending from the shaft portion to the cutting unit in the mountless label by the conveying unit and is cut by the cutting unit when a label is not issued for more than a predetermined time.
