Abstract: A self-luminous display panel including light-emitting elements 100, column banks 122Y, and a light-shielding film 133. The light-emitting elements 100 correspond one-to-one with sub-pixels 100se, each sub-pixel 100se in a pixel emitting a different color of light. The column banks 122Y are disposed between the light-emitting elements 100 in a row direction, each having an elongated shape in a column direction. The light-shielding film 133 has openings 133a at positions corresponding to the light-emitting elements 100 in plan view, downstream in a light emission direction of the light-emitting elements 100. In plan view, distances in the row direction between edges of the openings 133a of the light-shielding film 133 and defined points of the light-emitting elements 100 are different depending on light emission color of the light-emitting elements 100, due to different widths of portions of the column banks 122Y adjacent to the light-emitting elements 100.

Abstract: Disclosed is an organic EL display panel having pixels arranged in matrix includes a substrate, pixel electrodes disposed on the substrate for each of the pixels, insulating layers disposed so as to cover each upper part of the pixel electrodes and having not less than three slit-shaped openings extending and arranged in a column direction, partition walls extending in the column direction and partitioning the pixel electrodes in a row direction, organic functional layers disposed on the pixel electrodes and including organic luminous layers configured to cause electroluminescence in each of the openings, and light transmissive counter electrodes disposed on upper parts of the organic functional layers. Levels of top faces of the partition walls are higher than that of the insulating layers. Row-direction widths of openings adjacent to the partition walls in the row direction are larger than row-direction widths of openings not adjacent to the partition walls.

Abstract: An organic EL display panel including pixels arranged in a matrix includes: a substrate; pixel electrodes arranged above the substrate in the matrix; an insulating layer provided above the pixel electrodes and having openings for each pixel electrode; banks extending in a column direction and partitioning between the pixel electrodes in a row direction; organic functional layers provided above the pixel electrodes and including organic light emitting layers where organic electroluminescence occurs in the openings; and a light-transmissive counter electrode provided above the functional layers. The openings include: first openings arranged in line in the column direction; and a second opening adjacent to one of the first openings in the row direction. Portions of the insulating layer between the first openings adjacent in the column direction are lower in height relative to the pixel electrode than a portion of the insulating layer between the first opening and the second opening.
