Abstract: A sound output control device includes: an orientation detecting unit configured to detect a state of orientation of a face of a user; an ambient sound obtaining unit configured to obtain ambient sound; an ambient sound reducing processing unit configured to perform, based on the ambient sound, processing of reducing the ambient sound; and a sound output control unit configured to cause sound to be output with the ambient sound reduced by the ambient sound reducing processing unit, when the detected orientation of the face of the user is in a first state, and make audibility of the ambient sound higher than in a state where the ambient sound has been reduced by the ambient sound reducing processing unit, when the detected orientation of the face of the user is in a second state changed from the first state.

Abstract: A head-up display device includes: a display unit that produces a display light for the left eye by modulating a first illumination light derived from superimposing first illumination light beams output from a first region of a fly eye lens and produces a display light for the right eye by modulating a second illumination light derived from superimposing second illumination light beams output a second region of the fly eye lens; and an image processing unit that produces an image for the left eye and produces an image for the right eye; and a display control unit that causes a display unit to display the image for the left eye when the first illumination light is produced and causes the display unit to display the image for the right eye when the second illumination light is produced.

Abstract: The liquid crystal illumination device includes a light source projecting light to a liquid crystal panel, a first diffusion unit diffusing the projected light, a first light guide unit including a radially widened reflection surface and reflect the diffused light at the reflection surface, a reflecting mirror including an opening, part of the light guided by the first light guide unit being reflected and returned to inside the first light guide unit, and remaining light passing through the opening, a light collecting unit collecting light passing through an opening on the reflecting mirror, and a second diffusion unit diffusing the collected light toward the liquid crystal panel. The opening on the reflecting mirror is formed correspondingly to a display region where the liquid crystal panel display an image. A haze value of the first diffusion unit is set to a value higher than that of the second diffusion unit.
