摘要： Provided is a method for transmitting and receiving multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) data in a packet based cellular system. The method for transmitting multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) to a plurality of mobile stations in a packet based cellular system, includes the steps of: a) transmitting scheduling information of transmission data, b) hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) information, and a service group identifier (ID) for MBMS to the mobile stations through a MBMS dedicated control channel; b) transmitting information about a dedicated feedback channel of a mobile station and unique scrambling codes different by cells and mobile stations to the mobile stations; c) transmitting a MBMS data packet to the mobile station; d) transmitting radio resource information of data retransmitted using a downlink control signal to the mobile stations if negative acknowledgment (NACK) is received from at least one of the mobile stations; and e) transmitting the retransmitted data to the mobile stations.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method of transmitting paging information and a paging method in a mobile communication system. According to the invention, in a case of starting to transmit downlink information to mobile stations that do not maintain uplink synchronization while performing a low-power-consumption operation in an active state, the start of the information transmission is informed by transmitting a medium access control (MAC) paging message to the mobile stations. In this case, the invention can inform the mobile station that the MAC paging message exists in a physical layer control channel or can transmit the generated MAC paging message through only the physical layer control channel. Accordingly, the invention can efficiently transmit the paging information while maximizing utilization of a limited radio resource.

The method for discontinuously transmitting/receiving packet data to reduce power consumption of a terminal in a cellular system, including the steps of: a) establishing discontinuous transmission/reception (DTX/DRX) parameters including discontinuous DTX/DRX cycle information for terminals operating in a transmission suspension mode, which is a sub-state of an active state; and b) performing DTX/DRX based on the DTX/DRX parameters in the terminals operating in the transmission suspension mode.

摘要： The present invention relates to a preamble allocation method and a random access method in a mobile communication system. In the present invention, one among preamble resources is allocated to specific mobile stations in advance, before random access. The mobile stations request random access by transmitting a preamble based on the pre-allocated preamble resource to a base station. It is therefore possible to prevent collision caused by the fact that other mobile stations transmit the same preamble.

摘要： Provided is a method for transmitting paging information in a cellular system. An object of the method is transmitting paging information which can improve applicability of a limited radio resource by variably and flexibly setting up and mapping a transport channel and a physical channel in order to transmit information notifying start of downlink information from a base station to a terminal in a cellular system for packet transmission. The method includes the steps of: forming a paging channel (PCH) in a transport channel corresponding to generation of paging information; setting a paging indication channel (PICH) based on the paging information and forming the paging indication channel in a radio resource of a physical layer; and allocating the paging channel to the radio resource of the physical layer.

摘要： Provided is an error correcting method that can provide improved error correction efficiency in a multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) by marking the presence of an error in a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) with an error instead of discarding the erroneous PDU in an MBMS terminal of the MBMS system, which performs error correction in an application layer, and transmitting the erroneous PDU together with a PDU without an error to the application layer, and an error correction apparatus employing the method. The MBMS terminal includes: a radio link control (RLC) protocol processor configured to receive PDUs generated from the reception data, generate service data units (SDUs) by combining the PDUs, mark whether there is an SDU recovered from a PDU with an error, and output the SDUs; and a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) processing means configured to receive and deliver the SDUs.
