Abstract:
An apparatus and a method of displaying 3-Dimensional image are disclosed. A camera unit serves to capture an image of a viewer. A position tracking device serves to detect a position of the viewer using a video frame included in the captured image and calculate a position of a non-transmissive region of a 3D image filter based on the detected position of the viewer. A display unit serves to move the non-transmissive region of the 3D image filter according to the calculated position of the non-transmissive region. Changing a sweet spot of the 3D image to suit movement of the viewer has the effects of enlarge a viewing angle of the viewer and preventing crosstalk and image flipping even when the viewer moves.
Abstract:
A three-dimensional image processing apparatus and a calibration method of the same are disclosed. A display device displays two or more view images. A three-dimensional image filter is disposed at the front of the display device. The three-dimensional image filter has transmission regions and non-transmission regions which are alternately arranged. A controller adjusts positions of the non-transmission regions of the three-dimensional image filter based on a current position of a user and a reference switch mode. Upon detecting a user action to request movement of the non-transmission regions, the controller changes the reference switch mode in response to the user action and adjusts the positions of the non-transmission regions of the three-dimensional image filter based on the changed reference switch mode.

A filter for a display apparatus and a plasma display apparatus comprising the filter are provided. The filter for the display apparatus has a structure in that an anti-reflection layer is formed on a front surface of one base film layer and an electromagnetic interference shielding layer is formed on a rear surface of the base film layer. Further, the filter for the display apparatus includes an adhesive layer having various functions. A ground member is formed at an edge surface of the electromagnetic interference shielding layer. Accordingly, the functions of the filter for the display apparatus and the functions of the plasma display apparatus comprising the filter improve efficiently. The manufacturing cost decreases and the manufacturing yield increases.

The film for display device includes a plurality of first portions positioned to be spaced with a predetermined distance therebetween, and a plurality of second portions transmitting light. Each second portion is positioned between the first portions. A refractive index of the first portion is larger than a refractive index of the second portion.

An embodiment of the invention relates to a filter, a display device, and a liquid crystal display.The display device according to the embodiment of the invention includes a display panel, a filter disposed in the front of the display panel, and 3D glasses including a left eye lens and a right eye lens. The filter includes a substrate and a circular polarizing layer disposed on the substrate. Each of the left eye lens and the right eye lens transmits circularly polarized light and is turned on or off in response to an input synchronization signal.
