    摘要: A cutter shell for cutting a circular opening in a metal object formed of a tubular boring portion and a head portion. The boring portion has a tubular sidewall and teeth at the forward circumferential end. The sidewall is of thickness not greater than the teeth. The head portion has an outer circumferential perimeter secured to the tubular portion rearward circumferential end, the head portion being attachable to a boring bar by which the cutter shell is rotated. A circumferential abrasive band is affixed to the exterior circumferential surface of the tubular sidewall for engagement with the wall of a hole as the hole is cut in an object by the teeth to smooth and round out the hole for improved cylindricality.

    摘要: A system and method for regulating an adjustable DC supply and continuously and remotely monitoring measurements of reference cell potential and/or current for cathodic protection of a structure is disclosed. Cathodic protection devices use a logic circuit and/or microprocessor based monitor for removing identifiable components and noise from the system to arrive at the DC bias. A method is implemented herein to arrive at the true value of a reference cell potential measurement determined within a sample collection point or window calculated for the reference cell signal while the impressed current is still being applied. This measurement can be compared to a calculated shutdown and is communicated to a central computer accessible via a network such as the Internet. All output is automatically regulated and checked for target window accuracy using an automated voting scheme.

    摘要: A cutter shell for cutting a circular opening in a metal object formed of a unitary metallic member having a tubular boring portion and an inverted dish shaped head portion. The boring portion has a tubular sidewall and teeth at the forward circumferential end. The sidewall is of thickness not greater than the teeth. The head portion has an outer circumferential perimeter secured to the tubular portion rearward circumferential end. The head portion has an inner concave surface as viewed through the tubular boring portion and an outer convex surface. The thickness of the head portion is not substantially greater than that of the boring portion tubular sidewall so that the head portion deflects inwardly in response to boring pressure, the deflection being radially transferred to the boring portion tubular sidewall to stiffen the sidewall and hold it in more perfect circularity during boring action.

    摘要: An intravascular catheter system has a catheter with a rotating tip and a fluid path to permit fluid to be ejected around the tip for cooling the tip. The system has an electric motor for rotating the catheter tip and a second motor for con trolling the fluid flow. A control circuit sets the speed of the two motors and also monitors the speed and other parameters for operational errors. If an error is detected for either motor, the entire system, including both motors, is automatically shut down. The control circuit utilizes two processors, a main processor for system control and speed control of both motors and a slave processor for monitoring the speed of the catheter motor. The main processor provides data regarding desired speed to the catheter motor and to the slave processor and the slave processor provides signals the main processor when it detects a speed error.
