摘要: An epoxy resin composition for a cured material, comprising (A) an epoxy resin comprising an epoxy compound X, the epoxy compound X has an epoxy equivalent weight of at least 400, (B) a curing agent, and (C) a liquid rubber that is liquid at room temperature and comprises a reactive group; wherein the epoxy compound X has a solubility parameter value of SpX, the liquid rubber has a solubility parameter value of SpY and the ratio of SpY/SpX could be in the range of 0.7 to 1.3; and wherein the liquid rubber could form no visible domains by optical microscopy or has a maximum domain size of at most 3 microns in the cured material is described. The epoxy resin composition provides a fiber-reinforced material with higher compressive modulus and strength, toughness and better handling ability over standard epoxy resin systems. This invention is excellent for small thin walled tube structures like fishing rods or applications that require good compressive strength.

摘要: A method of using an ice therapy machine involves replacing water with windshield washer fluid containing ethanol or ethylene glycol, and placing the main unit of the ice therapy machine, including the ice chest and pump, in a freezer to prevent the ice in the ice chest from melting. The freezer has been modified to include openings for passage of the fluid-circulating tubes of the ice therapy machine, and an opening for the power cord of the ice therapy machine, which supplies power to the pump. Alternatively, the door of the freezer may be replaced by an insulated panel having openings for the coolant circulating tubes and power cord. An on/off switch may be installed in the power cord so that the pump can be turned on and off without having to open the freezer door.

摘要: Controlled release compositions for controlling release of a GnRH molecule or a GnRH analog are provided. The compositions include a GnRH molecule or GnRH analog as an active agent, and a controlled release component for controlling release of the GnRH molecule or GnRH analog from the composition. The compositions provide a sustained mean steady state plasma concentration (Css) of the active agent of at least about 1.5 ng/mL for a period of at least about 48 hours when the composition is administered to a subject. In addition, the use of a controlled release component in the manufacture of a composition for the controlled release of a GnRH molecule or GnRH analog is provided. The controlled release component is capable of providing a sustained mean steady state plasma concentration (Css) of the active agent of at least about 1.5 ng/mL for a period of at least about 48 hours when the manufactured composition is administered to a subject. The controlled release component can include a polymeric material and/or a non-polymeric material. When the compositions are administered to a subject, for example when implanted, the compositions release the active agent in a controlled fashion. Methods for producing the compositions are also provided, as are methods of using the compositions to provide for controlled release of the GnRH molecule or GnRH analog in a subject.
