摘要:
Photothermographic and thermographic diffusion transfer image-recording materials are provided wherein an auxiliary ligand for silver ions is employed to enhance transfer image density and discrimination.
摘要:
There are disclosed thermally processable, image-recording materials including both thermographic and photothermographic materials. The image-recording materials disclosed herein include silver halide and a specified class of reductone developing agents, and are capable of being thermally processed in the absence of water and/or base.
摘要:
A thermographic dye transfer image-recording material is provided wherein a particular silver salt complex is employed as a source of silver ions, made available upon imagewise heating, to cleave a dye-providing material to provide a diffusible dye in an imagewise pattern corresponding to said imagewise heating. The silver salt complexes have improved solubility in the system providing for enhanced transferred image density.
摘要:
A method of printing an image on a substrate in a printing machine having at least a first printing unit and an inkjet printing unit, includes moving the substrate through the printing machine. A raster image formed of image dots is printed on the substrate at a first moment using at least the first printing unit. At least one contiguous area of inkjet dots in the raster image is printed at a second moment, after the first moment, using the inkjet printing unit. Substantially all inkjet dots forming the contiguous area are printed at dot locations having similar surface wetting properties.

This invention relates to novel recording materials which employ color-forming di- and triarylmethane compounds possessing certain S-containing ring-closing moieties, namely, or thiolactone, dithiolactone or thioether ring-closing moiety and to a method of forming color by contacting these dye precursor compounds with a Lewis acid material capable of opening the thiolactone, dithiolactone or thioether ring-closing moiety whereby the compound is rendered colored, that is, converted to its chromophore color.

A method of printing which includes providing a print zone and a substrate. The print zone has a print zone length and multiple print regions in which ink drops are sequentially deposited on the substrate. The substrate and the print zone are moved relative to one another while controlling the rate of relative motion such that subsequent drops are deposited after previous drops from an adjacent previous print region have substantially wicked into the substrate and such that the substrate passes the print zone length before the substrate is substantially distorted by cockling.

There are described heat-developable photosensitive image-recording elements which include a photosensitive silver halide emulsion, a silver salt and an image dye-providing material. The silver salt material is provided in a layer which is separated from the layer including the image dye-providing material by a layer containing the silver halide emulsion.
摘要:
An imaging medium has at least one color-forming layer comprising a thermal color-forming composition adapted to undergo a change of color upon increase in the temperature of the color-forming layer above a color-forming temperature for a color-forming time, the color-forming layer further comprising a color stabilizer which is a hindered amine light stabilizer or a nitrones. The color stabilizer prevents development of color in the medium during storage before or after imaging, thereby reducing the minimum optical density of the imaged medium and/or color distortion in the image.
