(B) a monofunctional (meth)acrylate compound having no siloxane structure; and/or (C) a multifunctional (meth)acrylate compound having no siloxane structure; and
(D) a photopolymerization initiator.-

摘要: There is disclosed a method of printing onto the surface of a substrate, which method comprises i) coating a donor surface with a monolayer of particles, ii) treating the substrate surface to render at least selected regions tacky, and iii) contacting the substrate surface with the donor surface to cause particles to transfer from the donor surface only to the tacky regions of the substrate surface. After printing on a substrate, the donor surface returns to the coating station where the continuity of the monolayer is restored by recovering with fresh particles the regions of the donor surface exposed by the transfer of particles to the substrate.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide an active ray-curable inkjet ink capable of further enhancing gloss uniformity, surface curability, and scratch resistance of a formed image. The purpose is achieved by an active ray-curable inkjet ink containing a polymerization initiator, a photopolymerizable compound, and a gelling agent, and that undergoes a reversible sol-gel phase transition by temperature change. The inkjet ink contains a polymerization initiator with a molecular weight of 360 or more, and a polyfunctional photopolymerizable compound. The inkjet ink contains 3.0 mass % or more and less than 8.0 mass % of the polymerization initiator with a molecular weight of 360 or more, 1.0 mass % or more and less than 5.0 mass % of the gelling agent, less than 0.1 mass % of the initiator with a molecular weight of 360 or more, and less than 5.0 mass % of the monofunctional photopolymerizable compound.

摘要: The invention relates to a method of aligning magnetic flakes, which includes: coating a substrate with a carrier having the flakes dispersed therein, moving the substrate in a magnetic field so as to align the flakes along force lines of the magnetic field in the absence of an effect from a solidifying means, and at least partially solidifying the carrier using a solidifying means while further moving the substrate in the magnetic field so as to secure the magnetic flakes in the carrier while the magnetic field maintains alignment of the magnetic flakes. An apparatus is provided, which has a belt for moving a substrate along a magnet assembly for aligning magnetic flakes. The apparatus also includes a solidifying means, such as a UV- or e-beam source, and a cover above a portion of the magnet assembly for protecting the flakes from the effect of the solidifying means.

摘要: The present invention relates to a water-based ink including a pigment, a water-insoluble polymer, an organic solvent and a surfactant, in which the organic solvent includes at least a glycol ether which has a viscosity of from 2.0 to 7.0 mPa·s and a vapor pressure from 0.01 to 7.0 hPa as measured at 20° C., and a content of a glycol ether having a viscosity of not less than 6.0 mPa·s as measured at 20° C. as a component of the glycol ether in the water-based ink is from 0 to 5% by mass; the surfactant includes a silicone-based surfactant and a content of the silicone-based surfactant in the water-based ink is from 0.005 to 0.3% by mass; a content of the organic solvent in the water-based ink is from 25 to 50% by mass; and a content of a high-boiling organic solvent in the water-based ink is not more than 5% by mass, an ink set for ink-jet printing including two or more kinds of water-based inks which are each constituted of the aforementioned water-based ink, and an ink-jet printing method including the steps of ejecting the aforementioned water-based ink onto a printing medium, and further ejecting the water-based ink onto the printing medium to overstrike the water-based ink onto the water-based ink that has been ejected onto the printing medium in the previous step. The water-based ink of the present invention is excellent in continuous ejection properties, and is capable of obtaining good printed materials that are free of roller transfer contamination and intercolor bleeding owing to overstriking of the inks even when printed on a non-water absorbing printing medium.
