摘要： An exercise treadmill (10) includes a self contained lift mechanism (24) extending upwardly from a forward central portion of a frame structure (12) adjacent the forward end of an endless belt (14) supported by an underlying deck (20) and defining a running surface. This mechanism is operated by a hand crank that is rotatable by a user while standing on the treadmill running surface. The frame structure (12) includes a pair of side rails (30,31) each having inside, top and outside wall portions (48,46,52). Each of the wall portions includes an interior groove extending substantially along their entire lengths wherein the interior of the groove is configured to receive hardware members at any location along the groove or directly receive the threaded ends of threaded hardware members used to mount the deck (20) and other components to the frame structure (12).

摘要： A transparent switch array is disclosed that includes a relatively flexible or pliant sheet having a number of vertically-extending conductive column elements mounted in spaced apart parallel relationship with a relatively rigid backplate that includes a number of horizontally extending conductive row elements so that the intersecting row and column elements, in effect, form a matrix of rectangular touch-pressure activated switches. A relatively thin, flat electrical cable that is interposed between two edge regions of the backplate and the flexible sheet provides a portion of the peripheral backplate-flexible sheet spacing, with thin adhesive strips establishing the interelement spacing along the other two border regions. An array of small transparent elastomeric dots or beads that are deposited on one surface of the pliant sheet in effect outline the individual switch elements and maintain the pliant sheet in noncontacting, closely spaced orientation with the backplate. Compressive U-shaped spring clips, spaced along the periphery of the switch array, maintain the components in proper position and ensure good electrical contact between the conductive row and column elements and solderless connections between the electrical cable and the conductive elements of the backplate and the flexible sheet.

摘要： A detector unit which is capable of outputting electrical signals proportional in magnitude to the intensity of that energy in a beam thereof which lies in two different wavelength bands. A beam splitter directs energy in those bands from the entire compass of the beam to a data detector and a reference detector, and bandpass filters and optical traps in front of those detectors ensure that only energy in the selected bands and from the beam reach them. The detectors are mounted in precisely aligned relationship with each other and the beam splitter on, and are electrically isolated from, a monolithic, conductive, isothermal support which allows them to be maintained at the same, selected temperature by a system including data and reference detector heaters and a temperature responsive controller.

摘要： A transducer for nondispersive infrared gas analysis has heaters for the data and reference detectors to maintain the detectors at a selected temperature. A heater is also provided to heat the casing of an airway adapter associated with the transducer to a temperature high enough to keep condensation from forming. The detector unit is surrounded and electrostatically shielded by a boxlike component with barndoor extensions which are closed to shield the installed detector unit at that end of the shield through which the detector unit is installed. The detector unit, electrostatic shield, and a circuit board which carries power supply and preamplifier circuits are installed in the transducer housing which has separate end closures sealed thereto with a through fastener and internal guides for locating the shielded detector unit in the housing.

The step is designed for vehicles equipped with a ball-and-receiver type of trailer hitch and is coupled to the receiver of the hitch. The step is easily removed when the hitch is needed for towing but can otherwise be left on the vehicle as the platform of the step is located out-of-the-way beneath the vehicle when the platform is located in its stowed position.
