摘要: The invention comprises an interconnection system having an assembly with a base member and a silo. The silo has an upper contact receiving passageway and a lower contact receiving passageway. The silo is slidably mounted onto the base and reciprocally movable in a linear manner between an unterminated position and a terminated position. A pair of U-shaped terminals securable in the base to be received within the silo upon assembly of the silo to the base. Each of the terminals include a base section and a pair of legs extending normally therefrom to define the U-shape. The legs include aligned wire receiving openings and aligned IDC termination slots extending from the openings. A third IDC termination slot is formed along a top of the terminal. The bottom passageway of the silo is aligned with the wire receiving openings and the upper passageway is above the third IDC termination slot when the silo is in the unterminated position. The bottom passageway of the silo is aligned with the aligned IDC termination slots and the upper passageway is aligned with the third IDC termination slot when the silo is in the terminated position.

摘要: An electrical connector includes a back end sub-assembly including a back end housing extending along a longitudinal axis between a forward side and a rearward side. The back end housing defining a plurality of contact zones. At least one contact is held in each of the plurality of contact zones. A shield is provided within each of the plurality of contact zones with each shield at least partially surrounding at least one contact in the corresponding contact zone. Each shield is non-common with and does not electrically engage any other shield in the back end housing.

A contact sub-assembly is received within the coupler body, wherein the contact sub-assembly has first contacts grouped in differential pairs and presented at the first mating end and second contacts grouped in differential pairs and presented at the second mating end. At least one shielding member is located within the coupler body, wherein the at least one shielding member isolates each differential pair of first contacts from an adjacent differential pair of the first contacts.

摘要: A coupler includes a coupler body having a first mating end defining a first mating interface configured for mating with a first mating connector and a second mating end defining a second mating interface configured for mating with a second mating connector. A contact sub-assembly is received within the coupler body, wherein the contact sub-assembly has first contacts grouped in differential pairs and presented at the first mating end and second contacts grouped in differential pairs and presented at the second mating end. At least one shielding member is located within the coupler body, wherein the at least one shielding member isolates each differential pair of first contacts from an adjacent differential pair of the first contacts.

The electrical compensation component is electrically connected to at least one of the mating contacts at a location along the intermediate portion that is spaced a distance from the first and second end portions.
