摘要： Polymer films having a number of wells can be prepared by contacting the polymer with a solvent which causes the polymer film to swell and produce blisters. When the film is dried the blisters collapse to form wells. The polymer film is supported on a substrate such as silica or glass and the wells are often arranged in an array. An example of a polymer which can be used is poly(d,l-lactide).

Sand is mixed with melted resin, and the resin-coated sand is heated under conditions which cure the resin. 摘要： A pivot corner adapted for operative engagement with a sash balance brake assembly of a pivotable sash window is disclosed. The pivot corner comprises a housing having an axial bore and a pivot pin. The pivot pin has a first portion disposed within the bore and a second portion extending outwardly therefrom and adapted for operative engagement with the brake assembly. The axial bore and the first pin portion are complementarily octagonal in cross-section. The first pin portion has a cross-section sufficiently smaller than the cross-section of the axial bore to permit non-destructive rotation of the pin relative to the housing upon application of a predetermined torque.

摘要： A tilt latch (10) for a sash window (12) has a bolt stop. The sash window (12) is disposed within opposed guide rails (16) on a master frame (14). The sash window (12) is comprised of a top sash rail (20), a base (22) and two stiles (24,26) connected together at their extremities. The tilt-latch (10) is adapted for releasably securing the sash window (12) to the master frame (14). The tilt-latch (10) is comprised of a housing (42) adapted to be supported by the top rail (20). The housing (42) has an outward end opening (44). A latch bolt (46) is disposed within the housing (42) and has a nose adapted for engaging a respective one of the guide rails (16). A protrusion (80) is located either on the latch bolt (46) or the housing (42) and a lock wall (86) is located either on the housing (42) or the latch bolt (46). The protrusion (80) has a stop surface (84) and is moveable between a first position defining a prevent position (94) wherein the stop surface (84) is adapted to abut the lock wall (86) to prevent retraction of the latch bolt (46) into the housing (42), and a second position defining a deflected position (96) wherein the stop surface (84) does not abut the lock wall (86) to allow retraction of the latch bolt (46) into the housing (42). The protrusion (80) is biased to the prevent position.
