摘要： A printing system accurately prints proprietary marks and selected colors. A dictionary of recognizable patterns and defined colors corresponding to the proprietary marks and selected colors is linked to a user interface wherein a user may designate a location within a document and at least one of the proprietary marks with defined colors from an accessible menu. A processor associates the defined colors with the image at the specified location and generates a printer signal representative thereof. Alternatively, the processor includes a pattern recognizer for identifying recognizable patterns within a document. The patterns have a likeness to defined patterns within a pattern dictionary and can be converted to the defined patterns for display or imaging.

摘要： In a scavengeless development apparatus, an electrode wire is disposed between a donor roll and a latent image to form a powder cloud of toner to develop the latent image. A magnet is disposed along the electrode wire, and low-frequency AC is passed through the electrode wire. The electromagnetic forces acting on the wire from the interaction of the AC with the magnetic field are adapted substantially to cancel mechanical vibration of the electrode wire.

摘要： An apparatus in which an electrostatic latent image recorded on a photoconductive member is developed with toner. A donor roll, spaced from the photoconductive member, transports toner to a development zone adjacent the photoconductive member, an electrode member is positioned in the development zone between the photoconductive member and the donor roll. The electrode member is electrically biased to detach toner from the donor roll so as to form a toner powder cloud in the space between the electrode member and the photoconductive member. In this way, the toner from the donor powder cloud develops the latent image recorded on the photoconductive member. A DC current is transmitted through the electrode member. A magnetic member interacts with the DC current flowing through the electrode member to substantially dampen vibrations of the electrode member.
