Abstract: An electroluminescence display device includes a pixel electrode; a first organic layer provided on the pixel electrode; a light emitting layer provided on the first organic layer; a second organic layer provided on the light emitting layer; and a counter electrode provided on the second organic layer. The light emitting layer includes a host material, a light emitting dopant material and an assist dopant material. The light emitting dopant material has a first concentration distribution in a thickness direction of the light emitting layer; the assist dopant material has a second concentration distribution in the thickness direction of the light emitting layer; and the first concentration distribution has a concentration peak in a range of the second concentration distribution.

Abstract: A material for organic electroluminescent display device includes a luminescent dopant part and an assist dopant part. The luminescent dopant part may have an energy of 2.6 eV or higher to 3.0 eV or lower in an excited singlet state S1 level. The assist dopant part may have an energy of 2.4 eV or higher to 3.0 eV or lower in the excited singlet state S1 level. An energy gap ΔEST between the excited singlet state S1 and an excited triplet state T1 may be 0 eV or larger to 2.0 eV or smaller.

Abstract: Light emitted within an organic EL device is effectively utilized, and a pixel is provided for improving the extraction efficiency of the light. Light extraction is efficiency is improved without increasing a current by effectively utilizing guided wave light which is a cause of the loss of light emitted by an organic EL device. In order to achieve this, a stepped portion is arrange in an insulating layer provided over a lower layer of a first electrode including a light reflecting surface, and a peripheral area of the first electrode is formed so as to contact the stepped portion. The reflecting surface is formed curved towards a second electrode side in the peripheral area of the first electrode from the stepped portion, light guided through the organic EL layer is reflected by the reflecting surface and emitted from the second electrode side.
