Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device comprises a display panel, first and second driver chips. Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel with pixels; a dimming panel with dimming pixels; and a light source. When a pixel is controlled to be lit in white and a predetermined condition is satisfied, a blurring region is formed, and light from the light source is transmitted through the blurring region and the pixel. When a pixel is controlled to be lit up in white and the predetermined condition is not satisfied, the blurring region is not formed, the dimming pixel overlapping the pixel on a straight line along a direction in which the display panel faces the dimming panel is controlled to transmit light, and light from the light source is transmitted through the dimming pixel and the pixel. The predetermined condition is satisfied when the pixel controlled to be lit in white is at a predetermined distance or farther from an outer edge of a display area.

Abstract: A display device includes a pixel array, a source driver, a gate driver, and a display control circuit. The pixel array has a plurality of pixels arranged in matrix. The source driver supplies the pixels with a gradation voltage in accordance with display data. The gate driver supplies the pixels with a gate signal for selecting the pixels to be supplied with the gradation voltage in the unit of rows.
