摘要： A method of manufacturing a display panel is described. A substrate is provided. A wall structure is formed on the substrate to define several microcups. A display medium is filled into the microcups. Thereafter, a sealing layer is formed over the microcups filled with the display medium, wherein the sealing layer includes a first material that is immiscible with the display medium and a second material that is miscible with the display medium. A treatment process is performed such that the first material is solidified to form a solidifying layer while the second material miscible in the display medium undergoes a polymerization induced phase separation reaction so as to precipitate in the display medium.

摘要： A manufacturing process for flexible LCD panel has steps of disposing a first flexible substrate on a hard carrying base, forming an electrode pattern layer on said first flexible substrate, spreading an alignment layer on said electrode pattern layer, printing plural miniature structures on said alignment layer, curing one resin of the miniature to form semi-solid structures, forming a liquid crystal layer within the semi-interpenetrating polymer network miniature structure, mounting and controlled-pressing a second flexible substrate on the semi-interpenetrating polymer network miniature structure, and curing the second resin of miniature structure to form interpenetrating polymer network miniature structure and detaching said hard carrying base so as to complete the flexible LCD panel. Through the present invention, the process for manufacturing the flexible liquid crystal display is simplified in that the cell gap controlling, substrates adhering, and assembling can be accomplished by utilizing a two-step polymerization process.

The method comprises steps of providing a first substrate having a conductive layer formed thereon and then forming a first locating structure over the conductive layer, wherein the locating structure includes target regions and periphery regions. The surface tension of the target regions is difference from that of the periphery regions. Thereafter, an electro-optic medium placing process for forming an electro-optic droplet on each of the target regions is performed. A solidifying process for forming a capsule wall covering the electro-optic droplet on each of the target regions is performed. The first substrate is laminated with a second substrate.
