Abstract:
A radial carcass tire with a tread reinforcement is improved due to the fact that between the radial carcass reinforcement and the tread reinforcement there is arranged a limiting block composed of two superimposed crossed plies whose wires or cables form opposite angles with the longitudinal direction, each of which is other than zero and less than the smallest angle used in the tread reinforcement.
Abstract:
A tire having a ratio H/B at most equal to 0.75, H being the radial height of the tire on its rim and B the maximum axial width of the tire, is improved due to the fact that between the radial carcass reinforcement and the tread reinforcement there are arranged two limiting blocks which are located on opposite sides of the equatorial plane. Each limiting block is formed of two superimposed crossed plies of wires or cables of low extensibility which form with the longitudinal direction angles of opposite sign, each being both other than zero and less than one-half of the smallest angle used in the tread reinforcement.
Abstract:
A tire with a radial carcass reinforcement and a tread reinforcement of at least two crossed plies is improved due to the fact that between the radial carcass reinforcement and the tread reinforcement there is arranged a limiting block formed of two crossed plies whose wires or cables form opposite angles with the longitudinal direction, each of which is other than zero and less than one-quarter of the smallest angle used in the tread reinforcement.
Abstract:
Tire having a carcass reinforcement anchored to at least one bead ring, the bead ring consisting of a hollow metallic member, is improved due to the fact that the bead ring as seen in radial cross-section is essentially formed of four sides which converge in pairs and of an interior reinforcement connecting the two regions where two consecutive converging sides meet, and due to the fact that the bead ring is arranged in the bead in such a manner that the interior reinforcement forms an angle of less than .+-.60.degree. with the bisector of the angle formed by the bead seat on the rim with the tangent to the rim flange adjacent to said bead seat, the bisector being directed towards the inside of the tire, the latter being mounted and inflated.
Abstract:
In a tire with a prestressed radial carcass reinforcement, the mean meridian fibers (7', 7") of the carcass reinforcement (7) of the tire, uninflated (1') and inflated (1") to its service pressure, respectively, have a point of intersection (E.sub.i) located between the points (E', E") of these fibers (7' and 7", respectively) at which they have a common tangent (t.sub.E) perpendicular to the axis of rotation (XX') of the tire.
Abstract:
A spinneret assembly is disclosed that comprises thin individual spinnerets simultaneously exhibiting a great mechanical resistance to pressure and a great number of orifices, in which:the relation between the total piercing area and the total surface of the assembly is between 35% and 90%;the relation between the total number of orifices and the total surface of the assembly is between 0.2 and 25 orifices per mm.sup.2 ; andthe relation between the total surface of orificesand the surface of the assembly is between 0.5% and 40%; the spinneret assembly comprising a rigid supporting plate pierced with holes designed for the passage of the spinning material, every hole being coaxially associated with an individual spinneret and having at least one portion the cross sectional area of which is less than that of the surface of the respective spinneret.
Abstract:
A tire with a radial carcass reinforcement and a tread reinforcement formed of at least three plies of cables is improved due to the fact that the tread reinforcement is formed of two plies of cables having a very low elongation and forming angles of 50.degree.-70.degree. with the longitudinal direction of the tire and of two plies of elastic cables forming angles of 5.degree.-15.degree. with the longitudinal direction of the tire.
Abstract:
A pneumatic tire particularly useful in agriculture is improved due to the bars of its tread having an average angle of inclination, with respect to the longitudinal plane of symmetry, which is greater at their end adjacent the tread edges than at their other end and walls whose slope on the side of the leading edge of the bar is more abrupt towards the center of the tread than towards the edges of the tread and walls whose slope on the side of the trailing edge is more gentle towards the center of the tread than towards the edges of the tread.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process and a device for the production of bi-component yarns containing bilaminar and multilaminar filaments. Two polymer compositions are spun after feeding through a dichotomic mixer possessing tubes of identical internal diameter (5 to 25 mm), inside which 4 to 9 helical elements are placed in series, the leading edge of each of the elements being placed at 90.degree. relative to the trailing edge of the previous element. The process and device according to the invention can be used for all types of spinning, namely solution spinning, melt spinning, semi-melt spinning and the like. The yarns obtained contain only a minor proportion of monolaminar filaments.
