摘要: Business outcome-based personalized ranking of information objects is provided. Information objects in outcome-based business processes are ranked by recording information objects generated during a creation of the outcome-based business processes. At least one business process comprises an outcome attribute, and at least one business process comprises in-process information objects. A composite graph is generated of the information objects and business processes. Each node in the graph corresponds to an information object or a business process. Links between two information object nodes have a strength based on a content similarity and a social network distance. The in-process information object node connects to a corresponding business process node, and two business process nodes have a link if they are indicated as related in the business process information system. The information objects are ranked based on the link strengths.

摘要: Automatically generating a meeting digest of a set of meetings is provided. A set of topics of interest to the parties to the set of meetings is detected utilizing a user model associated with a user that is based on at least one of communications, relationships, and roles of the parties to the set of meetings. Topic-related content associated with the set of topics of interest to the parties is extracted from meeting data corresponding to the set of meetings. Then, the meeting digest of the set of meetings is generated using the topic-related content associated with the set of topics of interest to the parties extracted from the meeting data corresponding to the set of meetings.

摘要: A Resource Management Framework (RMF) comprises an extensible, distributed, policy-based, object-oriented system and method for resource discovery and negotiation during the setup and control of a media session between one or more media servers and end users. The scope of the RMF framework is the management of multimedia resources used during simple, non-interactive as well as composite, complex, interactive multimedia sessions. The RMF enables iterative negotiated mapping over the requirements of an RMF-compliant application onto the offerings of one or more RMF-compliant media servers. It is an open-services architecture providing the ability to insert and apply services to enhance the suitability of offerings to requirements and vice versa, during a negotiated mapping session. Moreover, the RMF negotiated mapping algorithm itself is customizable via the use of policies (herein referred to as per-flow policies). The policies used to drive management decisions and service selections during these negotiated mapping are ‘pluggable’. New or updated policies may be added, to augment or replace an existing policy so as to realize new behavior or refine existing behavior.

摘要: A corotron cleaning assembly includes a self-seating, spring-loaded locating pin drivingly connected to a drive unit that is used to drive a wire cleaning head that is located within a CRU. This assembly allows for easy separation of the drive unit from the cleaner when the CRU that contains the wire is replaced. The bullet shaped pin rides on a worm drive and when the pin is driven into the cleaner head, the bullet hits an inclined ramp and is biased downward until such a point that the pin hits a recessed receptacle. Once the pin is in the receptacle, the pin is capable of driving the wire cleaning head. When the cleaning head is removed, the act of removal separates the pin from the receptacle.

摘要: A distributed system for the management of distributed resources interconnected by a computer network and comprised of a plurality of limited supply resources (such as those associated with multimedia content servers, e.g., bandwidth, CPU, storage, etc.,). The system comprises a plurality of server resources, preferably with target multimedia content, real time processing engines, etc., and a plurality of intermediary system resources (such as directories and resource monitors). The resources in any particular server are classified or partitioned as global or local, where the ratio of global to local is specified and controlled by the system. The system assigns clients across local and global resources and coordinates the placement of replicas of target content across global resources. The placement is dynamic and performed when necessary based on the analysis of utilization patterns of target content and replicas by pluralities of clients.

摘要: A method for scheduling the delivery of multimedia data packets over a communications medium with a limited bandwidth. The packets may contain data representing images, sounds, or other media which are to be delivered from a source or server to a recipient or client. The 6 method described here minimizes the delay between the point in time when a client requests the multimedia data and the point in time when the client may start presenting the data without risk of interruption, for a given communications bandwidth. This method also determines the minimum buffer sizes needed by the client in order to present this multimedia data subject to the specified bandwidth limit.
