    摘要: A system, method, and router for routing data packets from a moving network to an associated home network. A data packet originating from a mobile network node in the moving network is routed over any of a number of external accesses accessible from different mobile routers, which advertise different address prefixes to mobile network nodes. A first mobile router advertising a first address prefix receives a data packet with a source address with the first address prefix, and selects an external access for routing that is accessible from a second mobile router advertising a second address prefix. The first mobile router detects that the source address of the packet is different from the second address prefix and provides the packet with a different source address with the second address prefix. The first mobile router then transmits the packet to the second mobile router for transmission to the home network.

    摘要: The present invention aims at making it possible for a data packet originating from a mobile network node (102, 103) in a moving network (101) to be routed over any of a number of external accesses (111, 112) accessible from different mobile routers (104, 105) in the moving network to home networks (115, 117) related to the moving network, for the case where the mobile routers advertise different address prefixes to the mobile network nodes. When a mobile router (104) advertising a first address prefix receives a data packet associated with a source address with the first address prefix, and the mobile router selects, for routing to a home network, an external access (112) accessible from another mobile router (105) advertising a second access prefix, the mobile router will: detect that the source address of the data packet has an address prefix different to the second address prefix, provide the data packet with a different source address having the second address prefix, and transmit the data packet to the other mobile router for subsequent transmission via the selected external access (112) to a home network (117) of the moving network.

    摘要: LAN emulation in a moving network environment is disclosed. An emulated LAN encompassing a number of moving networks is formed by means of a set of layer 2 tunnels that interconnect a home agent with mobile routers in the moving networks. The home agent and the mobile routers are arranged to perform layer 2 forwarding over the layer 2 tunnels in order to form the emulated LAN. The layer 2 tunnels can be established in a number of alternative ways. The moving networks that are part of the emulated LAN may move, i.e. change their points of attachment to the network infrastructure, in a dynamic fashion without disrupting the function of the emulated LAN.

    摘要: The present invention relates to moving networks in communication systems. An object of the invention is to provide moving network nodes (205, 206) in a moving network (201) with the ability to simultaneously access several external access networks (211, 212, 213) accessible by different mobile routers (204, 207) such that a data packet directed to an address external to the moving network can be sent from a moving network node via any of the mobile routers (204, 207) and via a tunnel setup in any of the simultaneously accessible external accesses to a home agent (216) in a home network (215) of the mobile router. This is achieved by synchronizing between the mobile routers data regarding the external accesses of each mobile router, and, when a data packet is received at a first mobile router (204), the first mobile router selects external access based on the synchronized external access information, information in the data packet and optionally also based on access selection policies. If a selected access belongs to e.g. a second mobile router (207), the packet is forwarded from the first mobile router to the second mobile router before it is sent to the home agent (215) via the tunnel setup through the selected access (211).

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method, a protocol and a control unit for managing devices in a Personal Area Network (PAN) such that a user of the PAN can use one of his devices and take advantage of services residing in any of the other devices in the PAN. The devices in the PAN are defined as either PAN controller devices or PAN auxiliary devices depending on if the devices have user interfaces suitable for controlling a PAN. When the PAN is managed according to the invention, the PAN controller devices and the PAN auxiliary devices communicate with each other via short-range communication means to exchange each other's PAN related information such that PAN related information is synchronized in the network. At least the PAN controller devices store received updated PAN related information from the other PAN participants such that the user can see an updated picture of the PAN on the PAN user interfaces. Any of the PAN controller devices can then be used to control the other PAN participants via commands and messages of the invention.

For this reason, the mobile router classifies a data packet that is to be sent to the home agent based on information in the packet and selects an access resource for sending the packet based on the classification. The mobile router also sends implicit or explicit instructions to the home agent regarding how the packets should be routed from the home agent to the mobile router.
