    摘要: A high speed connector includes a plurality of wafer-style components in which two columns of conductive terminals are supported in an insulative support body, the body including an internal cavity disposed between the two columns of conductive terminals. The terminals are arranged in horizontal pairs, and the internal cavity defines an air channel between each horizontal pair of terminals arranged in the two columns of terminals. The terminals are further aligned with each other in each row so that horizontal faces of the terminals in the two rows face each other to thereby promote broadside coupling between horizontal pairs of terminals.

    摘要: A differential pair connector includes a housing having receptacles for receiving differential pair conductors and electrically conductive shielding tabs extending away from the housing between the receptacles for reducing crosstalk between the differential pairs. The tabs insert into a mated connector when an interconnect is formed. By inserting into the second connector, the shield tabs extend a larger ground plane around each differential pair, thus significantly reducing crosstalk within the connector. The connector can be a high density GbX® style daughter card connector mated to a GbX® style backplane connector.

    摘要: An electrical connector assembly includes a two piece die-casted conductive shell that is adapted to be clamped onto a shielded electrical connector. The electrical connector may be formed of a dielectric housing with four sidewalls extending between a mating end and a wire receiving end. A plurality of contacts disposed in the housing are adapted to be connected to conductors extending into the wire receiving end of the electrical connector. A stamped and formed conductive shield surrounds at least a portion of the housing sidewalls. The two piece die-casted or molded plastic shell is formed by the mating of two shell portions with a set of screws projecting through one of the shell portions into the other of the shell portions. When so mated, the shell engages the connector shield to thereby couple the shell to the connector shield and a pocket is formed adjacent the wire receiving end of the electrical connector for enclosing splices between the shielded conductors in a cable and the conductors extending out from the wire receiving end of the electrical connector. In addition, the rear end of the mated shell portions form a wire clamping section for coupling the shell to a braided shield of the cable and for providing a strain relief for the cable. The wire clamping section may be disposed so that the cable is held at a desired angle with respect to the electrical connector housing.

    摘要: A check valve according to some embodiments of the disclosure includes a body forming a cavity and which defines an entrance opening, a wall extending from the body at an end opposite to the entrance opening, and rare-earth magnets attached to the wall. The body and wall are formed of a flexible and resilient material. The wall includes elongated wall portions joined together by end portions and a passageway extending from the cavity to a slit at the end of the wall. Interior surfaces of the wall portions abut against each other in an at rest condition, and the interior surfaces of the wall portions are separated from each other in a flow permitting condition such that the passageway is opened. The attractive force generated by the magnets cause the wall portions to move to the at rest condition.

    摘要: An electrical connector assembly having a low insertion force, high normal force mating contact structure comprising a male terminal and a female terminal. The contact portions of the female terminal are adapted to electrically engage the lead-in portion of the male terminal as the male terminal is inserted into the mouth between the contact portion of the female terminal. The lead-in portion of the male terminal is split and defines a pair of diverging beams extending forwardly and angled outwardly from the final contact area. The beams have inwardly facing, laterally offset, opposing camming portions adapted to engage and increasingly deflect the contact portions of the spring arms of the female terminal as the male terminal is moved from an initial position to a final position wherein the female contact portions are in engagement with the final contact area of the male terminal. The normal forces between the contact portions of the spring arms and the corresponding camming portion gradually increase until the final mated position is achieved. The split male configuration allows for increased terminal mating length and adjustment of the wiping action of the contacts as desired.
