摘要: An electrical connector assembly having a low insertion force, high normal force mating contact structure comprising a male terminal and a female terminal. The contact portions of the female terminal are adapted to electrically engage the lead-in portion of the male terminal as the male terminal is inserted into the mouth between the contact portion of the female terminal. The lead-in portion of the male terminal is split and defines a pair of diverging beams extending forwardly and angled outwardly from the final contact area. The beams have inwardly facing, laterally offset, opposing camming portions adapted to engage and increasingly deflect the contact portions of the spring arms of the female terminal as the male terminal is moved from an initial position to a final position wherein the female contact portions are in engagement with the final contact area of the male terminal. The normal forces between the contact portions of the spring arms and the corresponding camming portion gradually increase until the final mated position is achieved. The split male configuration allows for increased terminal mating length and adjustment of the wiping action of the contacts as desired.

摘要: An electrical connector includes an elongated dielectric housing having a front mating face and rear face with a plurality of terminal-receiving passageways extending therebetween. The rear face extends between opposite ends of the housing and is devoid of any substantial projections which might prevent a terminal-insertion tool from being moved into proximity with the rear face. A plurality of terminals are received in the passageways. Each terminal includes a forwardly projecting contact portion and a tail portion projecting rearwardly from the housing beyond the rear face thereof. An elongated tail aligning device is mountable on the housing and has a plurality of apertures through which the tail portions of the terminals extend. The tail aligning device has wing portions near opposite ends thereof projecting generally transversely of the rear face of the housing to protect the tail portions of the terminals and to stabilize the connector.

摘要: An improved heating element connector assembly includes an insulative, rectangular frame with a central opening and a plurality of conductive terminals which are press fit into openings in the frame. The terminals are spaced apart from each other lengthwise of two opposing sidewalls of the frame, and pairs of terminals are aligned with each other between the two sidewalls. A plurality of conductive strips extend across the frame opening to interconnect the pairs of terminals together. The terminals include compliant pin tail portions for receipt by corresponding holes formed in a circuit board of the assembly and deformable head portions for crimping onto the conductive strips.

摘要: A high-density connector utilizes a plurality of terminal assemblies that are assembled together into a block, or single unit, to form a connector. Each terminal assembly of the connector utilizes a plurality of conductive terminals having contact portions for mating with an opposing connector, and body portions held within an insulative body portion of the assembly. The terminal assemblies support arrays of terminals arranged in a specific order of signal-ground-signal arrays. The terminal assemblies have at least two insulative housing portions that support the signal terminal arrays and an intervening ground terminal array, which may or may not be supported by an associated insulative housing. The ground members have a series of grounding tabs formed therewith with extend out from the plane of the ground members, on opposite sides thereof into contact with ground reference terminals of the signal terminal arrays. In this manner, a ground path is enabled between the signal terminal and ground terminal arrays.

摘要: A dual drawer slide assembly for smooth and safe operation of a drawer in a cabinet. The assembly includes first and second drawer slides each including a drawer rail having a front end and a back end. A wall member extends between the front and back ends. A top member projects inwardly perpendicular to the wall member. A rail lip projects perpendicular to the top member and parallel to the wall member. A bottom member projects inwardly perpendicular to the wall member and parallel to the top member. Each of the first and second drawer slides includes a drawer glide having a first end adjacent the front end and a second end adjacent the back end. A side member extends between the first and second ends. An upper track projects inwardly perpendicular to the side member. The upper track is adjacent the rail lip. A track lip projects downwardly perpendicular to the upper track and parallel to the side member. The track lip is adjacent the wall member. A rail wheel is rotatably mounted adjacent the front end. The rail wheel is adjacent the side member, the upper track and the track lip of the drawer glide. A glide wheel is rotatably mounted adjacent the second end. The glide wheel is adjacent the wall member, the top member, the rail lip and the bottom member of the drawer rail.

摘要: A rotary turf mower (32) suitable for mowing irregular turf areas including a cutting system (60) which includes a plurality of cutting units (102) which are movable over the ground and each carrying at least one cutting blade (114), and a coupler (140) including a span member (144) and a pair of hinges means (150) for interconnecting adjacent cutting units (102), wherein each hinges (150) permits relative pivotal movement about a hinge axis (160), and wherein the hinge axes (160) associated with adjacent cutting units (102) are non-parallel, whereby each cutting unit may display a range of independent motion relative to an adjacent cutting unit. One embodiment of the present invention provides that the hinge axes associated with each span member are substantially directed to a virtual pivot point (184), whereby the motion of adjacent cutting units (102) relative to the virtual pivot point (184) is generally rotational. Tip-to-tip distance variation between adjacent cutting blades (114) is substantially minimized in the preferred mower by positioning the virtual pivot point (184) between adjacent cutting units (102) and substantially at the intersection of adjacent cutting planes (122). A preferred mower also includes multiple degrees of freedom between adjacent cutting units (102), wherein "pitching" and "rolling" type motions are permitted between adjacent cutting units (102).

摘要: Mating plug and receptacle connectors each include electrically insulating housings and plural rows of electrical terminals. The plug connector includes two terminal supporting walls or platforms extending outwardly from the housing with terminal contact portions positioned in channels on the terminal support platforms. Each platform includes at an end thereof a groove which receives a grounding strip in the form of a drain wire, commoned to an outer shielding shell. The receptacle connector has an insulating housing having two elongate slots thereacross, adapted for receiving the terminal support walls of the plug connector, and receptacle contacts for mating engagement with the plug connector terminals. The receptacle housing includes a groove in the front face carrying a grounding strip commoned to an outer shielding shell. The plug and receptacle are matable with their respective shielding shells in mating contact with each other.

摘要: A coupler for two modular plugs includes an insulative housing having two plug receiving opening for receipt of the modular plugs to be connected. A terminal assembly is included which incorporated a plurality of laterally spaced wire integrally held in a fixed array by a molded over web of insulative material. The connector housing is two part where the first part includes a rear face having a recessed pocket for the receipt of the web of material. A second housing half is snap latchable to the first housing half. The wires are formed into resilient contact portions with the contact portions disposed adjacent to the plug receiving openings for contact with the terminals on the modular plugs.

摘要: A connector receptacle comprises a housing having a forward mating end and a rear end, with an internal surface provided within the housing facing toward the rear end. The internal surface comprises at least a one alignment structure to engage and thereby maintain one or more optical elements in horizontal and vertical alignment. A clip having at least one retention mechanism engages complementary features on the housing to thereby retain the clip in fixed alignment with the housing. The clip also comprises at least one resilient member to bias the at least one optical element into mating engagement with the one or more alignment structures. Where the housing and clip are fabricated from electrically conductive materials, the clip may comprise one or more corresponding continuity pins to be received in continuity slots of the housing. Features of the clip to accommodate either surface mounting or through-hole mounting configurations are provided.
