The sensor also includes circuitry, coupled to the MR sensing device, to remove DC offset from the AC signal voltage. The DC offset may be related to the hysteresis characteristics of the MR sensing device. To remove DC offset, the circuitry may obtain an averaged DC offset and subtract the averaged DC offset from the AC signal voltage to produce a sensor output signal.

The second section slides into engagement with the first section to form a closed interior. The bottom wall of the first section is integrally formed with a bracket which includes first and second arms connected in an inverse, L-shape, with one of the arms oriented parallel to and spaced from the bottom wall to form a space within which a shelf is received. A thumb screw or other mounting device extends through the bracket arm to engage the shelf and secure the display case thereto.

According to one aspect, a boost converter includes an input configured to receive direct current electrical energy at a first voltage, an output configured to output direct current electrical energy at a second voltage higher than the first voltage, a plurality of switching devices coupled in series intermediate a positive terminal of the output and a ground, wherein one of the switching devices comprises a high side switching device coupled with the positive terminal and the other of the switching devices comprises a low side switching device coupled with the ground, drive circuitry configured to output a common control signal to control switching of the plurality of switching devices, a capacitor configured to capacitively couple the common control signal from the drive circuitry to the high side switching device, and wherein the control signal is configured to control the switching of the switching devices to boost the voltage of the received electrical energy of the first voltage to the second voltage.

A limiting circuit for controlling overshoot in a charge current in a battery recharging system includes a current amplifier receiving input indicative of charge current in a rechargeable battery circuit and generating a current error signal, a voltage amplifier receiving input indicative of charge voltage in the rechargeable battery circuit and generating a voltage error signal, and a power amplifier receiving a first signal indicative of power in a switching voltage regulator and a second power signal indicative of power in the rechargeable battery circuit, and generating a power error signal. The limiting circuit compares the voltage error signal, the current error signal, and the power error signal to determine the error signal having the greatest value, and generates an input signal to a pulse width modulation comparator. The limiting circuit also includes an internal current source, a first transistor coupled to the current amplifier, a second transistor coupled to the voltage amplifier; and a third transistor coupled to the power amplifier. The first transistor, the second transistor, and the third transistor are coupled to the internal current source to determine the error signal having the greatest value. To prevent reverse current flow in the switching voltage regulator, a low current comparator receives a signal indicative of the current flowing in the switching voltage regulator, and generates an output signal. A transistor receives the output signal from the low current comparator, and generates a signal to maintain the current flowing in the switching regulator circuit above a threshold value.

According to one aspect, a circuit includes charging circuitry adapted to apply electrical energy to an electrochemical device to charge the electrochemical device, and the electrochemical device being configured to assume an open-circuit condition in a substantially charged state; shunting circuitry electrically coupled with the charging circuitry and configured to shunt the electrical energy around the electrochemical device responsive to the electrochemical device reaching the substantially charged state; and indication circuitry configured to output a signal responsive to the shunting of the electrical energy to indicate a charge status of the electrochemical device.
