摘要： A display case shield for protecting a display case having a frame that supports a first glazing and a second glazing that is transverse to the first glazing includes smash-resistant plastic sheet is bent to include at least one angle between a first portion that covers the first glazing and a second portion that covers the second glazing. An anchoring system secures the smash-resistant plastic sheet to the display case. In a method of protecting a display case, a linear notch is cut in a selected surface of a polycarbonate sheet so as to separate a first portion and a second portion. The polycarbonate sheet is cold bended along the linear notch. The polycarbonate sheet is secured to the display case after the cold bending step.

摘要： One broad aspect of the invention features a display case door. The display case door includes a transparent panel assembly, hinges, a camera, and a sensor. The hinges are coupled at a first peripheral edge of the transparent panel assembly. The camera is coupled to the transparent panel proximate to a second peripheral edge of the transparent panel assembly opposite the first peripheral edge. The camera is arranged to capture images of the interior of a display case with the display case door mounted to the display case. The sensor is coupled to the transparent panel assembly, and is in electronic communication with the camera. The sensor is configured to generate a signal that indicates that the display case door is in an open position. The camera is configured to capture an image of the interior of the display case based on the signal generated by the sensor.

The rotation of the gear wheel causing a first electrical contact to engage with a second electrical contact, such that the distance that the pusher moves along the track can be measured by totaling the number of times the first electrical contact engages with the second electrical contact.

The glass walls include at least one multi-layered special glass wall, formed of an inner glass pane and an outer glass pane. The special glass wall includes an openable door shaped and sized to form an extension of the outer glass pane downwards to cover the base. In this way, the opening of the technical compartment is accessible by opening the door, without having to open access to the exhibition space. The inner glass pane ensures that the exhibition space remains closed.

摘要： Security systems and methods configured for use with an item of merchandise for retail display include a housing, at least one sensor carried by the housing and at least one output device carried by the housing. The security system further includes a controller carried by the housing and operably coupled to the sensor and to the output device. The controller is operable to determine a distance traveled by the item of merchandise from a retail display “home” position based upon a sensor input from the sensor, and to activate the output device based upon the distance traveled by the item of merchandise exceeding a threshold distance. The controller may utilize the at least one sensor in conjunction with an inertial navigation system (INS) and motion processing algorithms or techniques to determine the distance traveled by the item of merchandise from the retail display “home” position.
