摘要： A drive mechanism (20, 120) includes a driving rotary member (22, 122), a driven rotary member (24, 124), and a clutch (26, 126) operatively coupled between the driving member and the driven member and responsive to rotation of the driving member to automatically engage and rotate the driven member after a given amount of rotation of the driving member. The clutch is self-actuated in response to rotation of the driving member. A brake (36, 136) has a braking condition stopping rotation of the driven member, and a released condition permitting rotation of the driven member. Axial movement of the clutch face (34, 134) from its released position to its driving position also actuates the brake from its braking condition to its released condition. The drive is bidirectional, and is particularly useful in a nutational washing machine.
