    摘要: Embodiments herein include methods and arrangements for controlling access of mobile devices to a network, such as GSM. The mobile devices belong to an access control class (ACC) and also belong to an additional access control class (EACC) that provides extended access control. The arrangement broadcasts system information to the mobile devices that comprises a first indicator indicating an ACC. The first indicator indicates whether a mobile device is allowed to access or is barred from accessing the network. The system information further comprises a second indicator indicating an EACC. The second indicator indicates whether a mobile device is allowed to access or is limited from accessing the network. Limited access may entail blocking a mobile device from initiating communications with the network, blocking the mobile device from receiving network initiated communications, or both. A mobile device blocked from network initiated communication may not answer a page from the network.

    摘要: A method and associated apparatus for preserving frequency spectrum in a linear modulation scheme, by adding a compensation signal to a modulated signal, the compensation signal having the same spectrum as the modulated signal. In the present invention, peaks above a pre-determined maximum threshold and/or minima below a pre-determined minimum threshold are searched. When a peak is found, the amount by which the signal peak exceeds the maximum threshold, as well as the signal phase at the peak is calculated. A compensation signal is generated with the same peak amplitude as the signal exceeds the maximum threshold, and with opposite phase. Then the shape of the compensation signal is chosen to be the same as the transmitter pulse of the modulated signal. Finally, the compensation signal is added to the modulated signal.

    摘要: First and second groups of mobile terminal communications in a cell are defined. A basic frequency hopping sequence for both groups is identified. An offset from the basic hopping sequence is determined for each mobile terminal communication in the first and second groups and is used along with the basic frequency hopping sequence to generate an assigned frequency hopping sequence for each mobile terminal. Some of the assigned frequency hopping sequences overlap such that a first communication from the first group and a second communication from the second group simultaneously use the same time-frequency radio resource during one hop in their corresponding assigned frequency hopping sequences. The first and second mobile terminal communications use a different time-frequency radio resource during another hop in their respective assigned frequency hopping sequence thereby varying the offset for each mobile terminal communication in the second group to improve interference diversity between the two groups for each hop.
