摘要： A mounting adapter for a centrifuge includes an internal chamber having a lifting and a locking surface therein. The head of a connecting member is captured in the chamber and is rotatable by a tool insertable through an access bore in opposed angular directions. Rotating the connecting member in one direction brings it into abutting contact with the locking surface to hold tapered surface surfaces on the adapter and on the spindle in locked engagement. Rotation of the connecting member in the opposed direction causes the same to abut against the lifting surface to assist in separating the tapered surface from each other.

摘要： A conventional centrifuge refrigeration system is modified by connecting a capillary sized line between the expansion valve and the evaporator. This permits the expansion valve to be located at a point within the centrifuge remote from the rotor. This facilitates the easy removal of the expansion valve for repair and yet reduces icing of the expansion valve. Further, the system capacity may be improved by wrapping the capillary line about the suction line to effect subcooling of the refrigerant before it passes to the evaporator. This enhances system capacity.

摘要： A marker device for body scanning which permits the location of internal parts of a patient's body by reference to image reference points produced by marks on the device attached to the surface of the patient's skin during the scanning process. The device comprises a flexible tape which includes a substrate with marks, usually lines, thereon, the substrate being relatively transparent to the scanning waves, while the reference lines are relatively opaque with respect thereto. The substrate is conveniently formed from plastic, while the reference lines are advantageously metallic in character, preferably copper strips. The substrate is ordinarily coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive to allow its attachment to the patients outer skin, and it may be perforated with holes to accommodate insertion of biopsy needles.
