摘要: Coordinated conveyors in an automated system. A system comprises a plurality of conveyors, which each comprise a plurality of segments, and one or more stations. An instruction is received to perform an operation that requires at least one station to process at least a first item held by a first segment of a first conveyor and a second item held by a second segment of a second conveyor. In response to the instruction, one or both of the first and second conveyors are moved, such that the first segment and the second segment are aligned at the station. After alignment, one or more instruments of the station process the first item and the second item.

摘要: A portable centrifuge comprising a base, which includes a rotational mechanism contained within. A sequester wheel having a plurality of concentric rings, forming at least one channel and a central container. The at least one channel comprising a second volume and the central container comprising a first volume. A first cover is disposed over the sequester wheel to create a seal. A second cover is disposed over the first cover and is rotatable to engage with the rotational mechanism to initiate rotation at a predetermined RPM. The whole blood, tissue or other cell types are separated into its constituent components and deposited into the at least one channel and the central container. Specific volumes of the constituent components, tissue and/or cell types may be calculated to match or substantially match the first and second volumes for predetermined volume control and ease of access.

摘要: A method, system, and device for separating oil from oil sands or oil shale is disclosed. The method includes heating the oil sands, spinning the heated oil sands, confining the sand particles mechanically, and recovering the oil substantially free of the sand. The method can be used without the addition of chemical extraction agents. The system includes a source of centrifugal force, a heat source, a separation device, and a recovery device. The separation device includes a method of confining the sands while allowing the oil to escape, such as through an aperture.

摘要: Lowering of process quality of a sample is prevented even when a rotor is slowly decelerated taking a long time upon finishing a centrifugal process. A centrifuge having a steady operation mode of rotating a rotor at an inputted steady rotation speed and a deceleration stop mode of stopping the rotor by deceleration. When a remaining time of the steady operation mode is within a stop preparation time, a target controlled temperature of the rotor chamber is set from a first target controlled temperature to a second target controlled temperature that is higher than the first target controlled temperature. By setting the target controlled temperature of the rotor chamber high before switching to the deceleration stop mode, temperature of the rotor chamber is controlled to be close to a set temperature of the rotor and thus excessive cooling of a sample loaded to the rotor can be prevented.
