摘要:
A method for weaving fabrics with a two-sided rib structure, such as false boucl{acute over (e)} fabrics, comprises forming a fabric on a weaving machine from weft threads and warp threads of a series of warp thread systems, with sets of at least two weft threads running one above the other. Each warp thread system comprises at least three pattern warp threads of which two opposite each other, respectively along the upper side and the lower side of the fabric, form a number of ribs. The pattern warp threads are alternately rib-formingly passed around over one or several sets of weft threads and are interlaced in the fabric, while each additional pattern warp thread is inwoven in the fabric between weft threads of the sets over which other pattern warp threads are rib-formingly passed around. The additional pattern warp threads hold the weft threads of the aforesaid sets at a greater distance from each other in the fabric, so that a greater rib height is provided, and the fabric more closely approximates a loop pile fabric than the known fabrics. Furthermore with each additional pattern warp thread an additional color can be added to the fabric, so that a more varied fabric can be obtained.

Method for manufacturing a fabric with a rib structure, in particular a false bouclé fabric, whereby a backing fabric is woven out of binding warp threads (7), (8) and weft threads (1), (2), whereby pattern warp threads (5), (6) are alternately interlaced in the backing fabric and along one side of the backing fabric are rib-formingly passed around at least one weft thread (3) running outside the backing fabric. A fabric is thus obtained with a rib structure on only one side. Because of this the consumption of pattern warp yarn can be reduced.

With a method for face-to-face weaving pile fabrics, whereby weft threads (1-6) are brought between warp threads (7-12) of a series of warp thread systems so that two backing fabrics (21), (22) are woven located one above the other with tension warp threads (7), (10) and dead pile warp threads (13-20) inwoven in the backing fabrics, whereby pile warp threads (13, 14, 18, 20) in each backing fabric form respective pile loops around first (1), (4) and around second weft threads (2), (5) which respectively run along the back and along the pile side of a tension warp thread (7), (10), and whereby the pile-forming pile warp threads (13, 14, 18, 20) are cut through between the backing fabrics, the dead pile warp threads (13-20), running along the pile side of the second weft threads (2), (5), are inwoven. Because of this the inwoven dead pile warp threads (13-20) are prevented from being pushed through to the back of the fabric by the second weft threads (2), (5), and a latex layer applied to the back can penetrate well to the pile loops which have been formed around these second weft threads (2), (5).

A sharpening device for the cutting knife (12) of a face-to-face weaving machine, comprising a belt-shaped sharpening means (4) of a flexible material provided with a sharpening face that is so disposable that the cutting knife (12) during its back and forth going movements comes into contact with this sharpening face, and that is movable in order to bring various areas of the sharpening face within reach of the cutting knife (12). The sharpening means (4) can be unwound from a reel (7) and be wound up by another reel (3) in order to bring several areas of the sharpening face within reach of the cutting knife (12). The two reels (3), (7) and the belt-shaped sharpening means (4) can be made as a detachable unit. The sharpening means (4) preferably runs with the sharpening part over an elastically disposed curved surface (9).

A fabric comprising binding warp threads, tension warp threads, weft threads and pile threads or a part thereof, in which binding warp threads cross each other in pairs in order to form a series of openings, and in which at least two weft threads pass through at least some of the openings. The fabric has at least two tension warp threads per pair of binding warp threads. Each pair of binding warp threads extend between two adjacent tension warp threads.

Device for weft cancellation on a weaving machine offers wefts (1), (2), (3) to at least one weft insertion (5), (6), (7) on a weaving machine, which can be operated in order either to bring a weft within the feed area of a weft insertion or to hold it out of this feed area, to effect a weft cancellation. The device has a yarn carrier (19) which can be moved by a weaving machine drive in order to bring a weft (2) within the aforementioned feed area. The device can be operated in order to bring the yarn carrier (19) and a weft (2) into a first and a second mutual position, in which this weft (2) can or cannot be carried along by the yarn carrier (19) within the aforementioned feed area. A first embodiment comprises a movable pusher element (22) that can be operated in order to bring a weft (2) into a first and into a second position in relation to the yarn carrier (19). In a second embodiment the yarn carrier (19) can itself be brought into two different positions.

A device is provided for separating and tensioning warp threads in a face-to-face weaving machine of the type used for weaving at least a first fabric and a second fabric that are linked to each other, the first fabric including at least a plurality of first binding warp threads and first tension warp threads and the second fabric including at least a plurality of second binding warp threads and second tension warp threads. The device comprises a first set of rollers for separating the first binding warp threads from the first tension warp threads, a second set of rollers for causing the separated first binding warp threads to cross each other between the rollers in the second set, a third set of rollers, structurally similar to the first set, for separating the second binding warp threads from the second tension warp threads, and a fourth set of rollers, structurally similar to the second set, for causing the separated second binding warp threads to cross each other between the rollers in the fourth set. The first binding warp threads in the first fabric attain substantially the same tension as the second binding warp threads in the second fabric.

A method for the production of non-fraying edges of a double woven fabric on a double-rapier loom, using a double shed crossing device comprising per shed a needle carrier, an oblique slot plate and a positioning device, characterized in that, in case of alternate weft insertion in the upper and the lower shed, a first shed positioning with crossing threads being guided between the stationary needles remains simultaneously for the upper shed and the lower shed over two successive and alternate wefts, with the preparation of the changeover of the crossing thread and the stationary thread for the next shed positioning.
