Abstract: A variety of assemblies are configured for use with an actuator. An adaptor includes protrusions configured to engage grooves in a channel wall of the actuator and a snapping structured configured to receive a snapping feature of an output gear. A spring clip rotatably secures a yoke having a yoke slot and an output gear having a circumferential slot in the output channel of the adaptor. A lock clip has an arm and a lock clip, the lock clip having an inner wall shaped to correspond to a polygonal opening that extends through the base ring of a yoke. An adaptor prevents a valve from being coupled to the actuator by a bracket in one or more incorrect orientations, and permits the valve to be coupled to the actuator by the bracket in the correct orientation.

Abstract: A gear train is contained within the housing of an actuator, is coupled to a movable component outside the housing, and includes a first gear and a second gear. A bend shaft is fixed to an internal surface of the housing and supports the first and second gears. The bend shaft includes a lower portion, a crosspiece, and an upper portion. The lower portion has a first end coupled to the housing and a second end offset from the first end, and extends from the first end to the second end along a first direction. The crosspiece is oriented orthogonal to the first direction and extends from the second end of the lower portion. The upper portion has a third end coupled to the crosspiece and a fourth end offset from the third end, and extends from the third end to the fourth end along the first direction.

Abstract: An actuator is usable in a damping system, which may be a component of an airside system, waterside system, building management system, or HVAC system. The actuator is coupled to a damper and may open and close the damper. The damper selectively seals a duct to prevent spreading of gas, smoke, or fire within a building. The actuator includes a gear that rotates as the damper is opened and closed. A cluster pinion is coupled to the gear and rotates with the gear. A locker is rotatably coupled to a stopper and has a range of motion limited by the stopper. The stopper includes a rib extending outwardly and limiting the range of motion of the locker. The rib is configured to deform at a temperature exceeding a threshold. A spring is coupled to the locker and biasing the locker against the rib.
