摘要: A method for updating an application on a mobile device includes accessing, at the mobile device, application management information. The application management information identifies a plurality of applications installed on the mobile device and one or more granted permission settings associated with each installed application. The method also includes sending, from the mobile device to a server, a request for update information regarding each installed application and receiving, at the mobile device from the server, the update information. The update information identifies an update package for a respective application of the plurality of installed applications. The method also includes installing the update package without user interaction from a user of the mobile device if one or more required permission settings associated with the update package are included in the one or more granted permission settings associated with the respective application of the plurality of installed applications.

摘要: The disclosure relates to materials and methods for the in vitro testing of irritants. It was discovered that the accuracy of nonanimal toxicity tests is improved when the distance migrated on a synthetic substrate is used as a correction factor for macromolecular, cell, and specific organotypic eye toxicity test systems. The method involves applying the test substance to a solid support test material, measuring the migration distance and then using the migration distance measurement to improve on an existing nonanimal toxicity test; where the existing toxicity test prediction can be: (1) a macromolecular test, (2) a cultured epithelium-based (3) and/or an organotypic test; measuring a test system response; and multiplying, adding, or otherwise using as a correction factor, the measured migration distance, and using this to have an improved prediction of the toxicity of the test substance based on the combined response.

摘要: Systems and methods for collaborative illumination estimation for mobile mixed-reality devices are provided. Embodiments described herein compose an illumination estimate using video data capturing an environment which includes a reflective object, such as a light probe. Radiance samples are computed from light reflections from the reflective object, which are then interpolated to compose a realistic estimation of physical lighting of the environment. Robust illumination estimation is provided in a computationally efficient manner, supplying real-time updates to facilitate integration with augmented reality (AR) systems and other image processing applications. The computational efficiency of this approach allows for implementation in lower-resource environments, such as mobile devices. In some examples, multiple devices can collaborate to capture the environment from different viewpoints and enhance realism and fidelity in their illumination estimates.

摘要: Disclosed are formulations and procedures to improve the accuracy of nonanimal tests. Disclosed procedures involve both the direct application of the substance to be tested to the excised eye or other suitable test matrix, such as a differentiated tissue, and the application of an aqueous layer to the apical surface and then the addition of the substance to be tested as an overlay to the aqueous layer for a period of time so as to allow metabolism of the substance to be tested by the eye or test matrix, but not so long as to result in nonirritant or nontoxic test substance resulting in a FP result.

摘要: A system and method for prioritizing a fetch order of web pages. The method comprises extracting by a web crawler a set of candidate web pages to be crawled. Each web page in the set of candidate web pages is associated with a website in a computer network. A determination is made to determine if a first website score for the website is in a website score database. The first website score is associated with web pages in the set of candidate web pages if the first website score exists in the website score database. The set of candidate web pages is prioritized with respect to an associated website score for each web page in the candidate set of web pages. Content is retrieved from the set of candidate web. Hyperlinks are extracted from the content. The hyperlinks are stored in a memory unit.
