The image sensor includes a substrate having an active area and a device isolation area; a well implantation area in the active area; a threshold voltage implantation area in the well implantation area; and a transistor gate on the threshold voltage implantation area, wherein the threshold voltage implantation has a width greater than a width of the transistor gate.
Abstract:
Provided are an uplink receiving device of a long term evolution (LTE)-based orthogonal frequency division multiplexing access (OFDMA) system, and a method of synchronizing a frequency thereof. The uplink receiving device includes a fast Fourier transform (FFT) processing unit eliminating a cyclic prefix (CP) from an OFDM uplink signal to perform a fast Fourier transform (FFT); a subcarrier extraction unit performing a subcarrier extraction operation with regard to an output of the FFT processing unit to thus only extract a signal of a specific terminal unit; and an inverse discrete Fourier transform (DFT) processing unit performing an inverse DFT on an output of the subcarrier extraction unit to generate a time domain signal.

A decoder includes a first decoder configured to iteratively decode input data, accumulate iteratively decoded data in bit units, compare an accumulated value obtained for each bit of the iteratively decoded data with a plurality of reference values, and output decision data and indicator data according to a comparison result. The decoder includes a second decoder configured to perform error correction on a symbol including the decision data according to the indicator data.

A Log-Likelihood Ratio (LLR) combining method and apparatus for Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) in a wireless communication system for reducing a number of the LLR bits of previous packet stored for LLR combining are provided. The LLR combining apparatus includes an LLR combiner for combining a first LLR of a currently received packet and a second LLR of a previously received packet, an LLR buffer for storing the second LLR and a first packet exponent for recovering the second LLR in the same size as the first LLR, and an HARQ controller for determining whether the currently received packet is a retransmission packet or an initial transmission packet, and for controlling the LLR combiner to generate a third LLR by combining the first and second LLRs for the retransmission packet and to bypass the initial transmission packet.
