摘要: The present disclosure relates to the field of wireless communications technologies, relates to a signal sending device, a signal receiving device, a symbol timing synchronization method, and a system, and resolves a problem that complexity of symbol timing synchronization performed by a terminal with relatively low crystal oscillator accuracy is high. In a receiving device, a receiving module receives a synchronization signal including a first signal and a second signal. The first signal includes N1 generalized ZC sequences, and the second signal includes N2 generalized ZC sequences. The second signal is used to distinguish different cells or different cell groups. There are at least two generalized ZC sequences with different root indexes in (N1+N2) generalized ZC sequences. A processing module performs a first sliding correlation operation and a second sliding correlation operation on the synchronization signal, and performs symbol timing synchronization according to a relationship between a sliding correlation peak generated when a sliding correlation is performed on the N1 generalized ZC sequences and a sliding correlation peak generated when a sliding correlation is performed on the N2 generalized ZC sequences. This has relatively low implementation complexity, compared with an existing method in which grid search should be performed multiple times to compensate for a relatively large phase rotation.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for transmitting a synchronization signal by a base station in a filter bank multi carrier (FBMC) system and a base station using the same may be provided, the method comprising the steps of: generating a frequency-domain quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) symbol sequence having a length of k for a synchronization signal; mapping the QAM symbol sequence to a sub-carrier of a filter bank on the basis of the correlation characteristic of the synchronization signal; generating a quadrature amplitude modulation-filter bank multicarrier (QAM-FBMC) symbol including the synchronization signal on the basis of the mapping, and transmitting the generated QAM-FBMC symbol. In addition, a terminal communicating with the base station and an operation method for the terminal may be provided.

摘要: Systems and methods which provide training sequence or preamble-based synchronization with respect to non-coherent modulated signals and/or differentially coherent modulated signals are described. Embodiments provide for time synchronization using a technique for mitigating the effect of carrier frequency offset (CFO) with respect to the received signal. Embodiments of the present invention provide for frequency synchronization using a technique for estimating CFO using a constant bias induced with respect to the received signal by CFO. Additionally or alternatively, embodiments of the present invention provide for frequency synchronization using a technique for estimating CFO using phase rotation caused by CFO. The time synchronization and frequency synchronization of embodiments may be performed independently, without requiring the results of one synchronization operation for performing the other synchronization operation.

In some embodiments, a method includes generating an autocorrelation result for a training field in a received wireless message, generating differentiation information based on the autocorrelation result, and determining that one or more signal recognition criteria are met. In some embodiments, the signal recognition criteria include a first criterion that a first peak in the differentiation information satisfies a first threshold for at least a first time interval. In some embodiments, the signal recognition criteria include one or more additional criteria, including a second criterion that a second peak in the differentiation information satisfies a second threshold for at least a second time interval, wherein the first and second peaks have different polarities and/or a third criterion that the first peak corresponds to an autocorrelation result value that is below a particular autocorrelation threshold.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may broadcast a synchronization signal using a narrowband portion of a bandwidth of a cell. The synchronization signal may include a sequence repeated over several symbol periods using a cover code to support power-efficient cell acquisition. A user equipment (UE) receiving the synchronization signal may determine frequency and timing information for a cell by performing a weighted combination and accumulation of low complexity autocorrelation and cross-correlation procedures on the synchronization signal. The reduced complexity correlation procedures may be enabled based on the use of the cover code and a base sequence. In some cases, the cross-correlation may be performed at multiple sampling rates. The use of the cover code within the synchronization signal may also support correlation procedures that use recursive or repeated updates, which may allow for further reduced computational complexity relative to other cell search procedures.

Femto cells or repeaters may be used to address the signal coverage issue for indoor environments. The cost of femto cells or repeaters may be high depending on its capabilities. Method and apparatus are disclosed for a Signal Enhancer with reduced complexity to enhance the signal for an OFDM based TDD wireless communication system. This may result in a lower cost solution for improving the coverage and the overall communication system performance.
