摘要： A curved frame is provided for securing therein a display panel and an optionally curved backlight unit. The curved frame includes an upper frame part, a lower frame part, a left frame part and a right frame part. The upper frame part has a first set of curved guide rails formed thereon, which guide rails are bent in accordance with first curvatures of upper sides of the display panel and the backlight unit. The lower frame part has a second set of guide rails formed thereon, which guide rails are bent in accordance with second curvatures of lower sides of the display panel and the backlight unit. The left frame part is combined with each of first edge portions of the upper and lower frame parts. The right frame part is combined with each of second edge portions of the upper and lower frame parts.

摘要： A lamp fixing unit capable of simplifying the manufacture of a backlight assembly by eliminating the need for manual procedures is presented. The lamp fixing unit includes a fixing member and a lamp holder. The fixing member includes a fixing body and at least one receiving portion. The lamp holder includes a holder body and a conductive socket. The holder body includes a board insertion portion, a power supply member, and a lamp fixing member. Thus, the power supply member may be easily coupled to and uncoupled from the lamp holder, and the lamp may be easily grounded.

摘要： A display device includes a backlight assembly and a panel assembly. The backlight assembly includes lamps which emit light when properly powered. Each of the lamps includes a lead terminal, and receives electric power through a lamp socket that is electrically connected to an external power supply. The lamp socket includes a socket cover inserted in the lamp socket. The socket cover supportively embraces a resilient contact terminal within the socket body and thus helps the contact terminal to maintain grip with the lead terminal. The socket cover includes a metal material that is able to absorb and safely dissipate heat impulses from nearby intermittent sparks, so that the socket cover is not substantially deformed by the heat impulses of multiple sparks that occur nearby at contact points between the lamp lead terminal and the socket contact terminal.

The power supply member includes a first lamp connecting terminal and a second lamp connecting terminal. The first lamp connecting terminal is inserted into the connecting hole and includes a first fixing portion that extends through the connecting hole and a first guide portion that extends from an end portion of the first fixing portion toward a first inner wall of the connecting hole. The second lamp connecting terminal is inserted into the connecting hole and includes a second fixing portion that extends through the connecting hole and a second guide portion that extends from an end portion of the second fixing portion toward a second inner wall of the connecting hole.

The LCD device includes the light-supplying module for generating a first light, a light distribution-changing module for receiving the first light and changing the optical characteristics of the first light to output a second light, and a display module for receiving the second light having improved optical characteristics, the light distribution-changing module being coupled to the light-supplying module by means of a first engaging member, the display module being coupled in the light distribution-changing module by means of a second engaging member, and the display module, light distribution-changing module and light-supplying module being coupled to each other by means of a third engaging member. Therefore, each component of the LCD device having above structure is easily separated, replaced and easily repaired.

摘要： A receptacle assembly that receives a back light assembly and a display unit of a liquid crystal display device is disclosed. The receptacle assembly for receiving the back light assembly comprises a first receptacle module and a second receptacle module engaged with the rear surface of the first receptacle module to support the first receptacle module. The first receptacle module and the second receptacle module are formed of plastic and metal respectively. Therefore, the distortion that can be generated by the exterior impact and the vibration and the deflection due to the heat can be prevented. Further, the productivity is improved by simplifying the engaging structure of the receptacle assembly, and the size stability is improved.

摘要： A backlight assembly includes a plurality of lamps, a receiving container and a conductive member. Each of the lamps includes a lamp body, a first electrode part disposed at a first end portion of the lamp body and a second electrode part disposed at a second end portion of the lamp body, the second end portion being opposite to the first end portion. The receiving container includes a bottom plate on which the lamps are disposed and a sidewall disposed at edge portions of the bottom plate to define a receiving space. The receiving container has a plurality of grounding portions formed on the bottom plate or the sidewalls. The conductive member electrically connects the second electrode part to one of the grounding portions.

摘要： A lamp holder includes a holder body and a power connector. A lamp guide groove is formed on an upper portion of the holder body. An inverter insertion groove is formed on a lower portion of the holder body, and a power supply board is slidably coupled to the inverter insertion groove. The power connector includes a first portion exposed to the inverter insertion groove, and a second portion disposed adjacent to the lamp guide groove. The lamp holder fixed to a fixing groove of an insulation plate is inserted into an opening formed through a bottom plate of a receiving container. Thus, a backlight assembly having the lamp holder may be easily assembled and repaired.
