摘要: A method of estimating contamination of oil based mud filtrate in a hydrocarbon sample. The method comprising the steps of obtaining a hydrocarbon sample contaminated with oil based mud filtrate, then analyzing the contaminated hydrocarbon sample using two-dimensional gas chromatography (GC×GC). The method further comprises identifying one or more unique component or tracer in the oil based mud filtrate in the contaminated hydrocarbon sample. Finally, the method comprises of summing the peak volumes of the one or more unique component or tracer, relative to the peak volumes of a clean hydrocarbon sample.

摘要: A high-intensity visual light indicates the operating status of outdoor equipment generally and agricultural equipment specifically. In one aspect, the indicator light provides long-distance visual diagnostic annunciation of the equipment's status using visual patterning indicative of the operating condition of the machine. Thus, the indicator light may provide information regarding a plurality of normal operating conditions for the equipment, beyond simply whether power is present or lacking. Additionally, in the event that the equipment is not working properly, the indicator light may provide information regarding the particular anomaly involved. The indicator light may be a single color, for example, white, that is capable of patterned flashing to indicate status. The high-intensity light may be, in a preferred embodiment, a xenon strobe. A logic circuit may be employed to create the desired flash sequence. The inputs to the circuit may be adapted to any signal specification, including any conventional electronic logic levels and relay or switch contacts or they may be driven by de-serialized digital communication signals to facilitate interfacing with a programmed digital computer or other device. The logical functions may be programmed into a digital computer. The flashing pattern may be augmented by the use of color, so that a combination of colors and flashing patterns indicate the equipment's status.

摘要: A directional vibration measurement system as described herein includes a magnetic element coupled to a vibrating component, at least two magnetic induction sensors configured to generate sensor signals in response to movement of the magnetic element, and a controller/processor coupled to the sensors for obtaining and processing the sensor signals. The sensors are positioned such that the direction of vibration can be resolved by analyzing and processing the sensor signals. In one example embodiment, the phase relationship between the sensor signals is analyzed to determine the extent of vibration in a first direction and the extent of vibration in a second direction. In another example embodiment, the directional vibration measurement system generates sum and difference signals based upon the sensor signals, and the sum and difference signals are analyzed to determine the extent of vibration in a first direction and the extent of vibration in a second direction.

摘要: A system and method for automatically steering a vehicle along an intended path is provided. The system is architecturally partitioned. The partitioned design allows each of the system elements to be designed and maintained independently while allowing variation and flexibility in system configuration. An embodiment of the system elements may comprise a local navigation guidance unit, an external positioning system, a steering controller, and an installation and service computer. Additional elements of an embodiment of the system may comprise a steering position sensor, and at least one steering actuator. The system allows the operator to enter an intended target path and certain vehicle parameters. The local navigation guidance unit receives positional data from an external positioning system, preferably DGPS, indicative of a navigational path traversed by the vehicle. The guidance unit compares the positional data with the intended target path to obtain guidance error and transmits the guidance error to the steering controller. The system allows for determination of the current steering angle and generation of a steering angle adjustment based upon the intended target, the navigational path traversed by the vehicle, the vehicle parameters, the steering angle and the guidance error. The steering angle adjustment is used to actuate a steering mechanism to smoothly guide the vehicle along the intended target path.
