The present invention relates to an ashtray comprising a receptacle assembly and a wall mounting bracket. The receptacle assembly comprises a cup shaped receptacle portion and a solid stem centrally secured thereto at the outer surface thereof. This assembly can be mounted in a counter having a hole therein with the stem removably received within said hole. The wall mounting bracket comprises an elongated square tubing having a pair of diametrically opposed apertures on opposite sides of said tubing and projection ears with holes therein for mounting the bracket to an external supporting wall surface. The assembly is supported by the bracket with the stem removably received within the pair of apertures.

A barrel-shaped solar roofing element consisting of a portion of a conical-shaped panel of a material such as PVC plastic formed by injection molding adapted for receiving an impingement of solar energy upon an outer surface thereof and constructed of insulative material having a relatively thin dimension, a passway extending throughout the panel for conduiting a heat exchanger fluid, the passway having a male coupling at one edge of the panel and a female coupling at a generally distal edge of the panel and constituting a fluid circuit, or at least a portion thereof, each of the male coupling and female coupling formed for interlocking with a complementary or mating kind of coupling of an adjacent panel.
Abstract:
The invention adds liquid solar heating to conventional house construction without altering the plans. Sections of moulded polyester resin embedding p.v.c. pipes connect together to provide a continuous liquid pathway which is hidden from view. The sections are artistically styled, obviating the unsightly appearance of present day solar equipped homes. The arrangement is very inexpensive, yet durable, and not subject to glass panels and its attendant breakage or the use of expensive copper tubing. The entire roof is a collector and different parts of the roof are exposed to the direct sunlight at all times of the day.The solar sections actually replace the shingles, tile or other outer coating of the conventional roof for new construction. Hence, the solar section is integral with the house, making it more stormproof, yet workmen may walk over the roof.

Shingles are formed of a top sheet and a bottom sheet of plastic confining solar energy conversion means therebetween. The sheets are sealed together about a perimeter to form flanges for fastening in overlapped order to a roof. The contour of the shingles is domed to provide for better solar energy conversion efficiencies. Insulation and support members disposed along an underside of the dome sructure provide support to the assembly and insulate the roof. Decorative structure and shingles of this nature permit a roof surface which does not belie its nature as a solar heating system. The plastic sheets may either form flow passageways for a solar heatable fluid or may encompass photovoltaic cells to form unitary shingle-solar conversion structure.

This invention provides a bed assembly having a thermally absorbent mattress such as a water-bed in thermal conductive relationship with a thermal-panel mattress bin arrangement receiving the mattress. Thermal energy transfer bath for cooling and heating is then attained by circulating a fluid of proper temperature through the thermal panel. The fluid temperature is established with environmental solar and ground heat to reduce needs for fossil fuel energy. Thus, an efficient temperature controlled bed is provided which permits nighttime comfort without control of the temperature throughout a house.
