    摘要： A connector according to the present invention comprises a housing and a plurality of contacts. The housing includes a mating portion having a plate shape. The mating portion projects forward and has an upper surface and a bottom surface. The plurality of contacts is held by the housing. Each of the contacts comprises a contact portion, an end portion and a flat portion. The contact portion extends in a connection direction and is exposed at the upper surface of the mating portion. The end portion is embedded in the mating portion. The flat portion forms a boundary between the contact portion and the end portion and does not projects from the upper surface. The flat portion is able to be viewed from above the upper surface of the mating portion.

    摘要： In a connector having a plurality of conductive contacts assembled to an insulator, each of the contacts has unique structure for electrically connecting a first and a second board to each other. The first board has a primary surface and a secondary surface opposed to each other. The second board has a principal surface facing the secondary surface with a space left therebetween. In the unique structure, a base portion is placed in the space and held by the insulator. A first elastic portion extends from the base portion to face a primary surface. A first contact portion is protruded from the first elastic portion to come in contact with one of electrode patterns arranged on the primary surface. A second elastic portion extends from the base portion. A second contact portion is protruded from the second elastic portion to come in contact with one of electrode patterns arranged on the principal surface.

    摘要： In a hinge unit for use in an electronic apparatus, a shaft has a part held by a first member unrotatable and axially unmovable. Around the other part of the shaft, a flexible portion of a circuit board is wound. A second member is rotatable and axially unmovable with respect to the shaft. An intermediate member is faced to the second member in an axial direction and is unrotatable and axially movable with respect to the shaft. By an elastic member interposed between the shaft and the intermediate member, the intermediate member is urged towards the second member in the axial direction. The second member and the intermediate member are engaged with each other in a rotating direction by an engaging structure. The engaging structure releases the engagement with energization of the elastic member in response to a rotating force applied between the second member and the intermediate member.

    摘要： In a connector for connecting first and second objects to each other, a contact includes a first connecting portion to be connected to the first object, a second connecting portion to be connected to the second object, and a holding portion held by a housing. The first connecting portion includes a pair of coupling portions extending from a base portion and faced to each other and a pair of contacting portions extending from the coupling portions, respectively, and faced to each other. Each of the contacting portions includes a fitting portion coupled to the coupling portion and fitted to the first connection object and a free end extending on a side opposite to the fitting portion. The contact is designed so that, upon connection with the first connection object, a distance between the contacting portions is narrower at the fitting portions than that at the free ends.
