    摘要： The present invention concerns an image-forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording material, an area of which is wider than that of a standard fixed-form size having a predetermined fixed-form size, based on an original image recorded on a document. The image-forming apparatus includes a plurality of recording material storing devices in each of which the recording material can be stored; an input section to establish information in regard to a size of the recording material stored in one of the recording material storing devices, as setting information corresponding to each of the recording material storing devices; a memory section to store the setting information corresponding to each of the recording material storing devices; and a control section to determine controlling conditions based on the setting information and to control operations of the image-forming apparatus based on the controlling conditions; wherein the setting information include the standard fixed-form size and longitudinal and lateral lengths of the recording material.

In the image printing system of the invention, each of the image printing apparatuses interactively connected to each other has a proof/wait selection function of selecting a proof mode of outputting a single print or a wait mode of displaying image printing conditions and waiting. A master machine to which image printing conditions and image information are supplied from an information processing apparatus executes image printing operation in the proof mode or wait mode, and transfers the image printing conditions and image information to another image printing apparatus.

    摘要： There is described an image forming system constituted by an image forming apparatus and an external apparatus. The image forming apparatus includes a storing section to store image data, an image forming section and a controlling section to control the image forming operations. While, the external apparatus includes a data generating section to generate a plurality of print data sets, which are different from each other with respect to at least a part of each print data set, a selecting section to select selected-image data from the image data and a transmitting section to transmit the plurality of print data sets and selecting information indicating the selected-image data to the image forming apparatus. Based on the selecting information, the controlling section controls the image forming section so as to couple the selected-image data with each of print data sets to output coupled-image data.
