摘要： An electrophotographic image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording sheet comprises a photosensitive drum for holding a toner image thereon, in developer for forming the toner image on the photosensitive drum, an image transfer device for electrostatically transferring the toner image from the photosensitive drum to the recording sheet, and a sheet separator for separating the recording sheet from the photosensitive drum as the recording sheet advances. The sheet is controlled to generate a discharge voltage which includes separator at least alternating currents at various duty factors.

摘要： An electrophotographic image forming apparatus and a developing method thereof are provided. The electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes an image carrier body on which an electrostatic latent image is formed, a developing roller which faces the image carrier body and supplies toner to the electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier body, and an anti-toner-dispersion element which faces an outer circumferential surface of the image carrier body between an exposing section where the electrostatic latent image is formed and a developing section where the electrostatic latent image is developed by the developing roller. A collection bias is applied to the anti-toner-dispersion element to collect dispersed toner from the developing roller.

A magnetic roller has a magnetic brush including nonmagnetic toner and a magnetic carrier using a magnetic force. Donor rollers are provided which have toner layers that are received from the magnetic roller on an outer circumference of each of the donor rollers. The donor rollers are located opposite to the image holder to develop the toner onto the electrostatic latent image.

摘要： A color image forming apparatus for forming a color image. An image retainer is provided for carrying the color image, and a charger charges a surface of the image retainer. A latent image former forms a latent image on the charged surface of the image retainer, and a multicolor developer develops the latent image. A black developer develops the latent image. A transfer sheet conveyer conveys a transfer sheet and transfers the developed latent image onto the transfer sheet. A cleaner cleans a residual developer on the surface of the image retainer. The image retainer, either one of the black developer or the multicolor developer, and the cleaner are formed as a detachable processing cartridge, and the rest of the black developer or the multicolor developer is detachable to the body of the color image forming apparatus.
