摘要: A pixel at an ith pixel row (i is a natural number) includes an organic light emitting diode (OLED); a driving transistor for supplying a current to the OLED and a storage capacitor between a gate electrode of the driving transistor and an (i−1)th emission control line; and a compensating unit for controlling a voltage of the gate electrode of the driving transistor to compensate for deterioration of the OLED. The compensating unit includes: a first compensating unit transistor and a second compensating unit transistor between the OLED and a first power source; first and second feedback capacitors between a second node between the first and second compensating unit transistors and a first node between the gate electrode of the driving transistor and the storage capacitor; and a third compensating unit transistor coupled between a third node between the first and second feedback capacitors and a reference voltage source.

摘要: A pixel and an organic light emitting display device using the same is provided. The pixel includes an organic light emitting diode (OLED). A pixel circuit controls an amount of current that flows into the OLED. In the pixel, the pixel circuit includes a first transistor controlling an amount of current that flows into a second power source via the OLED from a first power source. A storage capacitor is positioned between a gate electrode of the first transistor and the second power source. A boosting capacitor is positioned between the gate electrode of the first transistor and a boost line.

摘要: An organic electroluminescent display device employing a demultiplexer to reduce the number of output lines of a data driver. The display device uses the demultiplexer to store a data voltage in a data line, and supplies the stored data voltage to a pixel when a scan signal is applied, thereby displaying an image. Here, the data voltage supplied to the pixel is lowered because an electric charge is shared between a data line capacitor and a storage capacitor in the pixel. To compensate for the lowered data voltage, an auxiliary capacitor is provided for generating a compensation voltage. Here, the auxiliary capacitor increases the data voltage according to a level change of the scan signal. Therefore, a decrease in level of the voltage applied to the pixel is reduced or prevented so that DC/DC efficiency is enhanced without lowering a power supply voltage and a reference voltage.

摘要: In an organic electroluminescent (EL) display device, a main display panel and a sub display panel share a data line and a power supply voltage line. The organic EL display device has a top emission type main display panel and a bottom emission type sub display panel in a single display panel. The main display panel is composed of main pixels, each having a compensation circuit for compensating a threshold voltage, and the sub pixel display is composed of basic sub pixels without any compensation circuit. Each of the sub pixels has a boost capacitor which increases a data voltage, and which is disposed between a scan line and a storage capacitor so as to use the same voltage and power supply voltage as the main pixels. The sub pixels having the boost capacitor are disposed in the sub display panel, so that the main and sub display panels share the data line and the power supply voltage line.

The organic light emitting display device includes: a demultiplexer controller for sequentially supplying control signals during a first period of a horizontal period; scan lines for transferring a scan signal; a scan driving unit for supplying the scan signal to the scan lines during a second period of the horizontal period; output lines for transferring data signals; a data driving unit for sequentially supplying the data signals to respective output lines during the first period; data lines for transferring the data signals; demultiplexers coupled to the respective output lines, for delivering the data signals to the data lines in response to the control signals; an initializing unit coupled to the data lines and an initial power source; and pixels located at crossing regions of the scan lines and the data lines.

摘要: An organic electroluminescent display device and the driving method thereof that can improve the aperture ratio. The organic electroluminescent display device according to the present invention includes first to third organic electroluminescent elements, first to third driving transistors to apply a driving current to the first to third organic electroluminescent elements, respectively, and first and second switches and a third switch group. A first light emission control line transfers a first light emission control signal, and a second light emission control line transfers a second light emission control signal. The first switch is turned on/off in response to the first light emission control signal, and the second switch and the third switch group are turned on/off in response to the first and second light emission control signals.
