摘要： A transmission stream (TS) generating apparatus includes an adaptor which receives general data and generates a stream having a plurality of packets, and which provides adaptive field in some of the plurality of packets, and an inserter which inserts additional data into all the payload areas of some of the plurality of packets that are not provided with the adaptive fields. Because additional data is transmitted, without requiring adaptive field header in certain packet, a data transmission rate is increased.

摘要： An apparatus for processing a transport stream is provided. The apparatus includes a detector which detects data bits in a stream, an encoder which encodes the data bits detected by the detector and generates two encoding values for each data bit, and a stream constructor which constructs a transport stream using the encoding values generated by the encoder. Accordingly, it is possible to encode the data bits into a transport stream having a coding rate of ⅓.
