A light emitting device and a producing method thereof are provided. The light emitting device is configured such that a transparent electrode layer, an organic light emitting layer and a counter electrode layer are laminated in this order on a transparent substrate, in which the transparent electrode layer is formed of mesh-like metal material and a transparent conductive polymer. The producing method includes: (a) printing a solution in which metal particles are dispersed in a solvent in a mesh shape on a transparent substrate so as to form a mesh-like metal layer on the transparent substrate; (b) forming a transparent conductive polymer layer on the mesh-like metal layer; (c) forming an organic light emitting layer on the transparent conductive polymer layer; and (d) forming a counter electrode layer on the organic light emitting layer.

The object of the present invention is to provide a printer capable of efficiently processing print data corresponding to a plurality of images in the main scanning direction, as in the case of an index print, with a limited memory capacity, thereby improving the throughput, and an image data processing method for executing the operations of the printer. An image data processing section accesses original image data including partial images of a plurality of images printed through one main scanning, and generates bit image data by executing predetermined image processing. An image data control section temporarily stores the image data in a primary buffer, and when necessary, reads out a part thereof from the primary buffer band by band, copies the read data to a band (secondary) buffer, and sends the data to a print processing section. Therefore, it is no longer necessary to access the original image data to obtain each portion of the partial images and execute predetermined image processing each time when the necessity arises, thereby improving the processing efficiency.

The quality of an image recorded on electronic paper is improved. Specifically, electronic paper for displaying an image is supplied in a region in which an electric field is generated in the thickness direction of the electronic paper, the electronic paper having charged color particles and being used for displaying an image as a result of charged color particles migrating in the thickness direction. Voltage for generating an electric field in the region is controlled by a voltage control section so that the value of the voltage varies together with time. The quality of an image recorded on electronic paper can thereby be improved.
